    Default Possible hidden twin???

I just had my 1st u/s at 6 weeks and there seemed to be some confusion as to what a second "blob" was that appeared below and to the right of the baby. I go back for another u/s in 2 weeks. Any thoughts as to whether or not this could be a second baby that's hidden by the first? They were only able to detect a heartbeat with the fully visible baby. Twins run in my fam on my mother's side and dr. thought that might be the case, but couldn't say for sure. Thanks for your help.

Hard to tell, but your HCG does seem higher. I know if you google HCG levels charts will pop up with averages. I'm 24w with twins and mine weren't significantly higher when tested at 14dpo and 19dpo.

My ultrasound at 7 weeks looked very different than yours, obviously one baby, no questionable areas. So I'd say it's possible.

It looks like 2 sacs to me! If the dr isn't sure, and they're giving you another u/s in a couple of weeks, then it sounds like a distinct possibility. Good luck!
