Question Not sure what it means

So, we started ttc in January. My last period started Feb 7th (on-time), but was really light and only lasted about 2 1/2 days with no clots. Yesterday I started bleeding again, like a VERY light period (not enough for a tampon or even a pad really) and still a little today. I'm older (38) and have 2 children (10 & 4). Do you think it's just an early period? I've been regular for years.

    Thanks.

its hard to say. Maybe implantation bleeding? when do you expect your next period?

whatever the bleeding was, it never got heavy like a period and ended after about 2 1/2 days. By the 3rd day (yesterday evening) it was just brown discharge...
My period wasn't/isn't due until Feb 5th, so I'm still confused.

Did you mean due on March 5th? If that's the case, I agree with the others maybe it was implantation spotting, or maybe you O'd and spotted? I'm not sure what else to tell you, except

My last "real" period was Dec 8-28. (I found out Dec 10 when I started to bleed like I was dying that I was having a m/c.) Jan 13-14 I had spotting just like you. Feb 16 I got the faintest BFP. Good luck.

    Thanks everyone!
I'm trying to relax and wait for the first of March to test. I'm afraid to hope, at this point...but my 4-year-old keeps talking about a baby sister that's supposed to be "in mommy's tummy." We don't talk about baby things around her, but maybe she overheard something and is just playing it out. When I was only 2 weeks pregnant with her, my son (who was 5 at the time) announced that "mommy has a girl baby in her tummy." Since I didn't think there was a chance, and we had just separated, I told him he was wrong and to never talk like that again. A month later I found out that he was right...

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard of a small child basically predicting a new baby and being spot on! Good luck!

Thanks ...Jeff said (with that wicked look in his eyes) "hey, now we can get in a bunch of practice"

He's so sweet and wonderful...I just so badly want to make his dream of being a dad come true.

After some BFNs, the only thing I can figure is that my wacky thyroid decided to change my cycle without checking with me first... This only happened to me once before, and the very next cycle I got a BFP, so I still have a tiny bit of hope--especially since we did plenty of BDing around the time of my surprise OPK+ So....fingers and toes and everything else crossed, although I barely have any hope at this moment and am so depressed I want to cry at every little thing, and barely even feel like eating anymore...sigh... still, ya never know

Broken thyroids are a pain in the butt. Just so you know, once you do get your BFP, call your doctor and DEMAND that they start checking it immediately. The nurse I talked said my thyroid wouldn't change until later (big fat lie) and my thyroid got so out of whack during pregnancy now that I had to go back to the endocrinologist. SHE told me thyroid levels will start changing very early on in a pregnancy and don't level off until 16 weeks or so. Even my o/b wasn't fully aware of thyroid issues IN pregnancy (which surprised me). My advice when the time comes is to be very proactive about it!

Yuppers, big huge pains in the butt!!

When I was pregnant with my DD, my Dr checked every 2 weeks in the beginning, and then every month after a few months. My original ob didn't know about throid issues in pregnancy, but I ended up with a high-risk one that was familiar with thyroid issues.
