    Default I tested... now what?

So I tested last night. It obviously didn't turn immediately so I waited 10 minutes... There was a little line as small as a strand of hair... pink in color.

I tested again this morning...it is the same. Light pink color with the barest line.

I have saved the tests and keep looking at them. Thinking that my eyes are batraying me...

With my two kids ages 3 and 1, I never had a line this small. Should I recheck Sunday or in 7 days?

A line is a line, you're pregnant! Congrats! At this point, I'd reccomend calling your doctor to do a blood test. Good luck!

I had dark lines with my first 3, but this one was so light I did the same things - kept the tests, checked again and again thinking I was seeing things, had other people look at them. PP is right though: a line is a line, no matter how light. Apparently my cycle was off from bfing so when I thought I was testing at almost 6wks I was really only about 3wks which is why the line was so light. I waited a few days, tested again and it was darker. Had to wait a few more days to go to the dr, but everything was good when I got there. Good luck momma. I hope you get the answer you want.

CONGRATS Misty!! A line is a line! I would call your ob and let them know you got a positive and see if they want you to come in for a beta. Sticky

A line is a line... huh? I keep looking at the tests to see if the line is still there. It is, but because it is so light, I'm questioning it. Does anyone have the list of the pregnancy tests that measure HCG? If I remember right the ones at the dollar store measure the least amount of HCG. This is what I have used this time. I want to get one of the digital tests but want to take it when it'll show up...

I'm so hoping for a strong BFP!

I used the dollar store baby test because they're cheap. I'm not sure how sensitive they are compared to others, but they gave me a light line at 3wks pg this time so I'm guessing they're pretty decent.

It was so light Dh thought I was seeing things. When I went to the health dept to take the test (have to have a BFP there to get medicaid to see a dr in MO) the nurse tried to tell me I wasn't pg because the line didn't come up right away - I'd had 4 light BFPs at home in the 3 days prior. I asked her to wait the WHOLE time allowed for the test and about a minute before the time was up the line came - still very light. She was and said "I've never seen one take that long and still come up." When I went in to the dr and had a dating US that's when we figured out I was 17days not as far along as I thought which is why the tests were all taking so long and so light. They all came up before the time was up and I had to be in a well lit room to see them, but they were consistently there.

Thanks! Mine comes up in about two minutes, 10 minutes is the time for the test. I'll wait a week, then test again. I see my gen prac March 8th. I have hmo so then will get a referral for my ob.

Glad I could be helpful. Sounds like a BFP to me. Might just be super early. I hope everything works out well for you. I don't get in this room much, but I'll try to watch for an update next week.
