    Default Should I test?

I've had PCOS for years but never really paid that much attention to it. However, in the past two months that has changed. I've been eating better, taking my Metformin every night and have lost 30 lbs in the past year. Now I'm having early pregnancy symptoms - nausea, sore breasts, frequent urination and extreme fatigue. In Dec my AF came on the 5th, in Jan it came on the 7th but nothing so far for Feb. Should I even bother to test this soon? I don't want the disappointment of a (possibly) false negative if I do test, but I also don't want to keep taking the Met and risk the baby if I don't test and I really am pregnant. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would test - AF "should" have come this past Saturday so technically you're already late. That, coupled with the fact that you're having common early symptoms are probably a good sign! Here's hoping you get your BFP!

BTW I'd stop taking the medication until you know for sure - better safe than sorry...

I would test. If it says negative, and you still don't get your period you can always test again. Good luck!
