IUI tomorrow and struggling with the flu
Hi ladies,
I threw up all night last night and triggered at 11:30 with an IUI scheduled for tomorrow morning. I called the nurse and she said to move forward with the IUI anyways. Does anyone else have any experience with this situation? I would really love for this month to be our BFP month! Thanks!

It does sound miserable, but often people are sick when they conceive or get their BFP...sending tons of

Hi ladies, well for some really odd reason, DH had a whopping 72 million sperm count with 85% motility!!! How is that possible? I mean last month, he had 7 million. Oh and that 72 million was post wash!! He had 144 million pre-wash. I questioned it and the RE said that even though his sample was smaller, his concentration was sped high. Have you guys ever seen this kind of increase from one month to the next? I am excited and hoping these numbers are correct. Thanks for your help!

Have you ever heard of the numbers increasing by 200% the next month?? I am mean, I am happy but a little worried the numbers are not correct.
They do vary, but that does seem to be a huge increase. DH has ranged from 60-ish million to 150 million pre-wash. He was never as low as 7, but I will say things vary a lot.
Is your DH doing anything differently? Supplements? DH was working out heavily and taking lots of vitamins, fish oil, stuff like that when he got the 150 million count.

Yeah, he started taking Fertlaid, flaxseed and stopped eating soy. He also started eating walnuts and other food items to help fertility. But mind you this was only the past two weeks. I am just so confused! I am questioning that kind of an increase.
Two weeks does seem fast ... Have you asked your doctor if that is something he has seen before?
Also, I know they have us sign for it and check our names every time. Hopefully they had you check it as well.

Yeah, we have to tripple check the numbers and confirm it at every level. Maybe three months ago, he did things that are helping him today? I was just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of change. It is good to hear that you have seen this before with your DH. Thanks!
Wow. I don't have experience with IUI... just coming to terms with being in the STC crowd. Just wanted to wish you the best with the IUI. Hope you're feeling much better! KUP!
Sounds like a pleasant surprise! Two weeks does seem fast but it doesn't take long for new sperm to be made, right?
I have actually researched it a bit and apparently, it takes 72 days to regenerate new sperm, however, perhaps whatever he was doing 3 months ago is the results of what we are seeing today? Have you guys ever seen this type of turn around so quickly? Thanks!
Apparently DH's numbers were correct!! We spoke directly to the analyst. I have absolutely no idea how that was possible but really hopeful for this cycle.

I just wanted to share that my DH's Motility was less than 30%, count was around 10mil then my doctor suggested walnuts, a handful a day. One month later his motility was 87% and count was 19.5mil after wash!! DH was so excited he was able to help me and contribute. Congrats for your DH!

Hi Cait, thanks for sharing. My DH has been eating walnuts, berries, taking Fertilaid and all of the above. Apparently it is working. I just know that it takes 72 days to actually regenerate the newly changed sperm, so that was my concern with the validity of the numbers. It is great to hear these stories from others.
Also, today I am 6dpiui and I took an HPT this morning to try and see if it still detected the HCG from the trigger, and it was negative. Shouldn't I still have the HCG in my system? I am worried that maybe the 10,000 HCG may not be enough for my body? What are your thoughts?
10000 is prett high, so I think you probably just metabolized it a little faster. All it needs to do is make you O! And
Just checking into see how you're doing. True DH's numbers are amazing. I'm definitely having my DHstart on walnuts. What kind of berries does he eat?

He eats rasberries and blackberries. I am doing good but am not feeling like this month worked. I know I need to stay positive, but it is so hard to not protect yourself from the dissapointment. How are you ladies doing?

AFM: started DHEA again. Hoping for an August or September IVF.
