Question Not sure what to think.

Hi there everyone I'm new to this and I thought it would be easier for me to ask for help on here some what anonymously than anything else at the moment.

I'm 20 years old and I have been on 5 different types of birth control since I was 12 because of bad periods. At first the put me on a birth control pill with the 7 days at each of the last month to get my period. After a year I still was not regulated and I took the pills at the same time each night and rarely ever missed one. After that they just put me on Depo shot and I was 17 and I had a miscarriage with that. So after the shot I got put on seasonale and thats what I've been on since I was 17. My periods got regulated for the most part but they were still very heavy but but I was always able to tell normal to me from not normal. The whole reason I went off the pill because it was weakening the enamal in my teeth and I saw it was causing other things

Last June I had to have surgery because I had cysts on my ovaries and a tumor in my uterus and alot of scar tissue from a previous surgery. Anyways that doctor said I had little to no chance of ever concieving but my OBGYN said she didnt see a problem with me ever having kids. Anyhow, what I'm trying to get to is I stopped taking my birth control on January the 8th.

I had unprotected sex January the 8th and on the 10th, the 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd and on the 27th, the and 28th. Anyways I usually bleed heavily the next day after I miss a pill or anything like that happens, on the 9th- 12th I bled a little not heavy and it was pink or it was brown and it would come for maybe an hour go away for a couple hours then come back then go away and so on for those 2-3 days and finally it went away and I havent bled since then. My boobs arent extremely sensitive but my nipples are sore and they feel really heavy but they dont look bigger (sorry TMI) and I feel bloated in my tummy area. I got scared and I took a pregnancy test on the 16th I believe but it showed negative and I feel like I took it too early and that I might be pregnant. I'm also tired alot and I've been really dizzy lately. I havent really been cramping but I got a little pain here and there where my uterus is and where my ovaries are... I've never kept up with me ovulating because I've always been really irregular so I'm clueless.

On january 30th and 31st I had pink and at times brownish spotting would come a few hours and then go away. I'm not cramping at all. I feel like I am constantly wet down there and I still dont know what to think about that. And on top of it on Feb 1st I started getting this weird taste in my mouth, I really don't know how to describe it, but the taste would come and go. And the today (feb 3rd) I kept having cottonmouth... I have not taken another test yet because 1. I dont wanna buy a test and it say negative and 2. I keep thinking maybe im just crazy or it could just be from stopping my pill MID-CYCLE.

What do you guys think? Do you think it sounds like I could be pregnant, could it be from stopping the pill mid cycle? and all in all should I take another test just in case?

Anytime you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is a possibility. Getting off of birth control can also mess with your cycles pretty badly for awhile afterwords too. I would wait another week and then test again. Do you want to get pregnant? Good luck!

You have been on hormones for so long, and since you've never been regular, I don't know if this sounds more like AF coming or just your body adjusting to missing those extra hormones from BC.

And as far as your doctor's comment about not being able to conceive, my guess is that he was just covering his butt legally so that IF it turned out that you could not conceive, you couldn't turn around and blame him saying he never warned you that you couldn't. As long as you have an ovary and a uterus (with the caveat that you're not menopausal), nothing is impossible.

I have heard enough stories of women being told they would never be able to conceive and then, SUPRISE! Doc was wrong. Better to cover yourself with some form of BC if you don't want to get pregnant. You are your own best advocate!

Could be. Or could be the flu. Only a test or a doctor can tell you.

To the OP, just an FYI, birth control pills do not weaken your teeth's enamel. If you were having teeth issues, that wasn't the cause. There can be an effect on the gums and surrounding tissue due to the hormones, but not the enamel. As far as the rest of your post, sounds like it's time to test again if you think you tested too early. Good luck.
