    Default Scared and need thoughts.

I just got a BFP tonight at 12 DPO. I tested yesterday morning and got a BFN. I don't have any symptoms at all...not even tired. I've had two mcs already and I'm scared this will be one as well. I think this b/c it seems like everyone gets BFP at 9 dpo and feel/have every symptom in the book (I'm included in this group...With all my other pregnancies...4 total, I've gotten a BFP with symptoms at 9 dpo). I also have cramping like AF is going to arrive any second. I don't know. I feel like if my numbers were going up the way the should be then I would have gotten a BFP yesterday. I wasn't even going to test but I wanted to open a bottle of wine and thought I would test (I'd test until AF arrived...which could be anytime). I don't know when I ovulated. My cycles go anywhere from 30 - 34 days. Uggg...scared. Thoughts, anyone.

Try to take a deep breath and relax, stressing isn't going to help your baby. I didn't test til 12dpo, and got a very faint line that morning. I've testing a few more times since and the test line is now way darker than the control line. Most people don't even get a BFP til after AF is very late and you've tested very early, do you know when you ovulated? Maybe you ovulated a little later this month. Every pregnancy is different so don't try to compare them. I had a miscarriage last month though, so I know how nervewracking it can be. Cramping is totally normal in the beginning, so don't worry about it. Everything sounds like its going just the way it should, so try to relax and just enjoy it. Call your doctor for a blood test asap to calm your nerves. I'm sure everything is fine hun!

I"m sorry you're going thru this - I had a m/c with my first and I know I was REALLY worried at the start of DD1's pregnancy. Ultimately, there's nothing you can do and stressing about it won't help at all so try to relax. All moms, esp those that have had m/cs, worry those first few weeks!!

12 DPO is REALLY good to get a BFP! There are a TON of people that don't show that early!! Also, not having symptoms isn't a bad thing... In fact, it might be good in your case! You said every other time you've had symptoms so the fact that this is different this time may tell you that there will be a different outcome!

I didn't start getting any symptoms until at least 13-14 DPO with both of my daughters...and then it was just sore boobs and peeing more than normal. The fatigue didn't hit until probably 5-6 weeks and the morning sickness hit at 6.5 weeks with my first and 6 weeks with my second.

I agree with the above post though - if you're really nervous, go to the doc and request a blood test. Then ask them to repeat it a few days later to make sure you numbers are increasing.
    Best of luck!!

Sorry just had another thought too... I didn't have any cramping with DD1 but I had AF like cramps off and on from 4-9 weeks with this pregnancy and my sister has had AF cramps for her entire first trimester with all THREE of her pregnancies so although it seems like it's a bad sign, it might not be!

Thanks for the post. I'll just keep rereading them and hope that keeps me sane for the next few weeks! I went to the dr. today and got blood work done. I'm sure I'll go in on Wed or Thurs. for more blood work. I'm just ready for the first trimester to go by smoothly. Then, I'm sure I'll get nervous over something else. hee hee

LOL that's SO true... first it's that you worry about m/c... then you feel the baby move and you're worried that he or she isn't moving enough, or moving too much.... then you hit a point and worry about preterm labor... then finally you worry about actual, real labor, lol. It's 9 months of fun!

Well, I got my first round of results back and they are not looking good. My beta levels were only at 18 and I was 14 DPO on the day of blood work. Going back tomorrow. Ugggg.....this will be my third m/c. I just wish I knew what was going on.

I'm sorry... wait and see what the next draw says but I know when I had my m/c my hcg was 12 at 14dpo so pretty much right where you are at. But then again, you never know, you could just not be as far along as you think.

Has your doc discussed any testing? I feel like after 2 m/cs (or three if this is one) they should do some tests to see if there's anything they can do to help you.

    HUGS!

The waiting takes forever! Yes, we did lots of test after my second m/c and found that I have mthfr. However, they said my first m/c was a chemical pregnancy and my second m/c was a partial molar pregnancy. My dr. said that my m/cs were not related. I'm sure she will send me to a fertility specialist if this one turns out to be a m/c as well. I just wish the answers were with me already.

Hugs hon! That beta is not a bad number! It's about the doubling rate! If you have mthfr, do they have you on baby aspirin and a special prenatal (I'm on neevo dha)??? You should be if not! Do you have one copy or two of that gene defect? I only have one. You may need blood thinning injections if you have two copies.

I only have one copy of the gene. Whew. I just started learning more and more about this ugly mutation (even that sounds so ugly). I am not on anything special right now....this is on my list of questions!
