    Exclamation is it a possibility?

I feel so stupid that I have to turn to this to try to figure this out, but I will because I have no other options. I started my period on Jan 10th and I have been off of birth control for a while now. Like over a month. Well I had sex on Jan 24th and if my calculations are right at that time I was ovulating. It was unprotected and I'm pretty sure he finished inside me and didn't pull out. Then I woke up this morning and I was bleeding a little. Is all of this too early to detect and I have to wait it out a while until I start experiencing symptoms or anything like that. Any info would be helpful! Thank you!

Far too early, hon. You're going to have to wait for a while.

Anytime you have unprotected sex, pregnancy is a possibility. Wait until your period is due, and if it's late, then test. If you don't want to get pregnant, I would suggest getting on birth control if you are not already pregnant. Best of luck.

Since you have recently come off birth control (even for several months after you stop the pills) you can have irregular cycles so that can explain the bleeding you have right now (or your cervix could have been irritated during sex and is bleeding now). However, having unprotected sex two weeks after your last period is generally good timing for conception to occur. It would be much too soon for you to have any sort of implantation bleeding. In general, the best time to test for pregnancy is two weeks after you have had unprotected sex (as long as you haven't had a period in that time).

I am normally on birth control all the time since I was younger. The only reason I was off of it was because I ran out of refills and had to wait a whole month to go to the doctor to have it refilled. But thank you for the info! I just am anxious and nervous because this is defiantly not planned by any means. But if I do find out that I am pregnant I will do my best to raise that baby.

If you suspect that you might be pregnant, do NOT go back on BC until you know for a fact that you are not (packaging and instructions will tell you that, too). You only had sex on Tuesday so it is way too early to know.

If you are NOT pregnant, and you ever run out of pills again... if you aren't planning and/or aren't ready for a baby, please make the guy wear a rubber. It will save you a lot of anxiety. (And if it's a temporary request for him to wear a rubber because you're out of pills and he doesn't want to because it doesn't *feel* as good,... just keep in mind for yourself that labor doesn't *feel* good at all! If he's a decent guy, he'll wear it for you!)
