When should I test?

My period ended Dec. 31st & I had unprotected sex 6 days after period ended. Today is almost 2 weeks after and I should get my next period Feb. 1st (I have a 38 day cycle). Ive been having pulling or tiny cramps lower abdomen especially at night for 2 nights already and im sure its not ovulation cramps I never get them. When should I test in a couple days or next week or after feb.1st if I miss my period? Because I heard that some women take it 2 weeks after unprotected sex and it comes out positive!

I would wait until you miss your period. If you are pregnant, a test might not show it until 2 weeks after you have unprotected sex. Both times I was pregnant, I waited until I missed my period, and I got faint positives. i am sure if I tested any earlier, the tests may not have shown I was pg.

Yeah test on Feb the 2 just to make sure u dnt get ur af. U could still test and just see wat the test said but definitely test Feb 1 or 2

Test after your period is late, if your period doesn't show up, any earlier than that the test may not be accurate.

If it's really nagging at you and you can afford the tests easily (they can be quite expensive, especially if you are peeing on a stick addict), I don't think it would hurt to test now. Wait until morning though so you have super concentrated urine (most likely to get a positive result IF you are pregnant, testing so early). If it comes up negative, then I'd wait until after your missed period. It all depends on how patient you are to see a positive. Just remember that a negative this early could turn into a positive until you have your period.

I think it's too early to test, maybe wait until the end of next week to avoid ambiguous results. (this from a POAS addict!)

Thank you all im so anxious! Ive been getting cramps more like sharp pains WAY different from my usual period cramps but my period is due on the first and I usually get cramps a week beforw but these are different. They are mostly in the lower abdomen mid section area and it feels like I have pressure down there its super uncomfortable to sit so I either lay on my sides or stand haha. Im going to test tomorrow im hoping for that + =) (btw im 8dpo)

I didn't test until af was due with DD1 so I was about 13-14DPO but I tested and got a positive at 9DPO with this little one. However that is pretty rare so don't be discouraged if you don't get a positive tomorrow!

My DH would not let me test until after my AF was due. We were trying so he didn't want me to be unnecessarily disappointed from a negative just from testing too early. In my heart, I knew he was right.

My heart sunk in today! I took the test and it came back negative, I was hoping there was a faint line but nope just one pink line. I had a feeling it would ugh...and im starting to get af cramps. And I used the first response early test. Im sad I hope AF doesnt show lol but if it does than god is telling me its not time yet. Ill let you girls know if it comes thanks for the support ladies !

Good luck! You still never know - lots of people don't show positive until AF is late. And I got AF like cramps from 4-9 weeks with this pregnancy.
