So... Im not sure, but I think it might be possible that I may have conceived on New Years. My DH and I are neither trying nor preventing pregnancy. We usually use the pull out method but didnt this time. This was cycle day 13 and I believe I ovulated on cycle day 18. I think this was ovulation day because this was the day I had the cramping. I believe the cramping occurs at the time of ovulation, correct? Im unsure if the little swimmers last that long. I have read that its possible so I guess we shall see. Either way we will be fine with the outcome. Any similar situations or stories to share?

Pretty sure sperm live up to 72 hours, which is only 3 days. Although you certainly could have ovulated before then..Just a fun fact, there are more people with birthdays on Oct 5 than any other day of the year... all new year's babies!

I believe sperm can live anywhere from 3 to 5 days. Also unless your charting your ovulation dates, you could have ovulated earlier.

You are totally right... I have no idea when I ovulated. I just guessed due to the cramping. Having a mild headache today, lots of pinching and a backache... etc etc lol...but since this would be my third pregnancy in three years I can totally ginx myself in to feeling every symptom in the book lol! But right now, I totally feel like there might be a baby in the works...

I get cramping when I o too but I've never been able to pin point when the pain comes vs. when I actually O. Even when we were TTC and I was charting, it seemed like some months the pain came before O, sometimes right when I O'd and sometimes afterwards, lol. I remember reading online that the pains vary heavily from woman to woman so there's no clear answer as to how the cramping correlates to the actual O date.

In the right environment sperm can live a week or even more in some cases. And a baby due on oct 5th would not have been concieved on NYE. conception on NYE would be a late sept EDD.

im thinking i wont be testing till the end of the next week or so but depending on these symptoms i might break down and do it earlier. I started having a little bit of tenderness in my breasts under my arms yesterday. I never get sore in my breasts but i can't remember if it being under the arms is a sign of anything or not.... I could totally be talking myself into all of this lol! Im going to feel totally nuts if im not pregnant just because I "feel" so pregnant!

okay its still too early to test but after being pregnant twice before.... i would buy a lotto ticket with the sureness i have right now!!! I will completely not be surprised when the test says positivie! I have a headache that wont stop, exhaustion, still cramping, backache, now insomnia and already getting up to pee during the night which i dont think ive done since i was pregnant last. Also having vivid dreams which I only get when Im in the beginning and end of a pregnancy. Its gonna be a long week till I take that test but my body completely says pregnant... and oh yea super bloated and gassy

I have irregular cycles but the last few that had some regularity were about 32-33 days long. Im about 6days past ovulation if my guess is correct but Im sure having alot of symptoms for that to be right lol!!!! Im tempted to test on Sunday but I think I would be waisting an hpt right now! I might call the doctors office and ask them their opinion today...

I am really confused right now. My LMP started on 12/20/11. I believe my fertile days was from 12/29-1/4/12?? (not sure if the sites I visited were correct). I had sex on 1/2/12 multiple times that day and did not use any protection. I began spotting on the 7th and 8th off and on and then it went away. I started spotting yesterday and before I went to bed it stopped. I started cramping again today and saw that I was spotting again. It is not red but more of a brown/pinkish color. My breasts feel heavy and I feel extremely bloated. I am not sure if the spotting is my cycle??? I do not spot, once I come on that is it, I am ON!!! I believe I am supposed to come on my period on the 16th. I am confused. Any advice???

When is your cycle due? it could be implantation bleeding... If you dont feel like this is your cycle and continue to get symptoms that make you question if your pregnant, I would take a test the day that your true cycle would be late to see if this might in fact just be the egg implanting? My cycle is due on the 16th...I have two boys and I did not experience this when I got pregnant with them. I really do not feel like this is my cycle only because I went off my cycle on the 27th of December. I have a 27 day cycle so I am hoping my dates are correct.

No I am not ttc!! I am not doing anything to prevent it from happening either. My intuition is telling me that I am. I just came from the restroom and the spotting is now gone but I did have some brown looking stuff going on...LOL!!! I believe that I am but am second guessing myself. This is really frustrating. I guess I will have to wait until Monday the 16th to see if the real deal comes through, if not then my first guess was correct. I just wish that I had other "regular signs" that could confirm it for me.

Ok WOW!!! I do not think I calculated by DPO...it did it three different times and my probability was from 15% to 18%. I am sorry for being such a pain. Can you help with telling me how to correctly calculate the DPO???

do you have any idea when you ovulated? do you normally have midcycle pain or do you normally ovulate on a certain day? thats all it is asking but being like you i dont generally pay attention because i wasnt ttc so i was just best guessing... you aren't bothering me at all... its this horrible two week wait that bothers me lol... were yall planning on having another child?

I have no idea when I ovulated. I believe it may have been on the 3rd, but again I was just guessing. He isn't the father of my other two children. Me and him have known each other since elementary school and reconnected last year. He is fine with the fact that I could be so that is reassuring. He does not have any children so if I am this would be his first.

I know how I feel right now and it sounds like you feel the same way! Like it is gonna take a hpt to convince me Im not pregnant... with the timing and bloating/cramps I would say very good chance! Do you ever have periods as light as this?

No way at all are my periods this light. The day I come on it is full blown ready...I have to change my pad like every hour and a half at least. So this is really making me wonder. I am starting to cramp again but when I wipe there is nothing.

It is crazy because a coworker of mine is going through the exact same thing. Not to mention our periods came on in December at the exact same time. We r both experiencing some of the same symptons except she spotted last week for just one day unlike myself for off and on the last 4 or 5 days. her breasts are much much tender than mines are. We both fell out laughing at thought if we both were. We are both patiently waiting to see if anything pops up next week.

so I had my cycle. I stopped spotting on Thursday and then started back again on Friday and I was on the entire weekend. Today is sunday and now it is like I never came on at all because it is gone. I am still stressed out and thinking I could possibly be pregnant still with all the weird stuff that has been going on. My breasts have been tingling off and on this entire time so I am still unsure. I guess I will have to see if I come on next month. How about you???

So sorry! Maybe take a test in a week or so to see? I am not expecting af till this weekend so Im still hanging out. Some of my symptoms have calmed down...still a backache off and on, not as many cramps.. just some pinching but it was mainly yesterday and then a little before I woke up... Still getting alot of headaches and having alot of heartburn! Also having horribly restless sleep!!! A week ago I would barely move in my sleep and could take a three hour nap in the afternoons but now I wake up after maybe an hour for naps and off and on in the night, partially because I have to go the bathroom which isnt normal for me either! I have convinced myself that this is all in my head though... so we shall see later this week... I think Im about 10dpo at best guess! Thanks for letting me know how you are. Are yall planning to start trying now?

Oh WOW!!! Well it sounds like you are more than me. I have been burping uncontrollably which is pretty weird for me. Right now it feels like I have something in my throat or chest and it will not come up...this month has been soo not like me at all. My sister is convinced that I am and says that I am not out of the woods cause february still has to come around

Me and my partner are not really trying but he is sooo ready to get it in that it isn't even funny...so I am sure that if I am not right now then I know I will be in the next few months. We are not in a relationship but more so really good friends. We have known each other since kindergarten...isn't that funny.


I surely hope you are...have you been trying or is this just something that has happened? Your kids are beautiful by the way.
