What is the difference between a fat belly and a pregnant belly?

I still get my "period" and all tests said no. If I was I would be 29 weeks today, and I've looked up pregnant bellies at this stage and they are much bigger than me. But my stomach is growing and growing. And I'm not overweight at all. My diet has not changed. I measured around my stomach and it has grown two inches in the past couple days. My stomach isn't a "fat roll" though. It is perfectly round and firm (but not rock hard). I seriously look pregnant and I am very limited to what I can wear now (so that I don't look like I am pregnant).

I don't know what to do. I would feel so embarrassed if I went to the doctor and they are like, "no you're just fat".

I would go to the MD if you are having unexplained weight gain. If it's firm, it may also be bloat...do you feel bloated? I would just go get a regular check up just in case. Are you having any other symptoms for you to believe it could be pregnancy? By 29 weeks you should definitely have some pretty clear signs (including feeling fetal movement), but I will also say (though I'll never understand how), I knew a lady who didn't think she could have kids and then boom one day finds out she's 7 months pregnant. Crazy stuff.

A friend in college had a similar thing happen to her and it was a tumor. I think any unexplained weight gain should be checked out and would go to the doctor if I were you.

Dont feel stupid; I really think you need to get some blood work done at the doc . Check hormone levels and. everything in general.

Like another person said, there are tumors that can do this. Cushing's disease can cause it as well. Its not going to hurt to go demand bloodwork.

I will reiterate what everyone said and get to a doctor. Not to scare you but there are some fast growing tumors that can do this.. usually they are benign (harmless) and can be removed.. but definitely see a doctor. Good luck.

I agree with the other ladies. Also, some people don't actually spill hcg (the pregnancy hormone that home tests pick up) into their urine. It is possible for you to be pregnant and for the tests to not pick it up. Definitely see your doc to find out what's going on!!

I agree with everyone else. I think you need to go to the doctor for a check-up and testing, regardless, to figure out what is going on. Good luck.
