Got a HUGE surprise this morning when I stepped on the scale!!! I am still in shock. I literally said outloud, "No Freaking Way!" Despite my cheat weekend, I've managed to lose 4 lbs. since last Wednesday, well Thursday actually because I didn't way Wednesday (didn't feel it). Anyway...I stayed on the scale to be sure it was right and it didn't change! Woot woot!!! I worked really hard in the gym on Friday & this past Monday, guess that helped!

Stepped on the scale again this morning to make sure it wasn't a fluke...still 217. YAY!!!

I am so pumped about my new lifestyle that I cannot want until it's time for me to exercise. I would love to go to the gym m-f, but I would have to ask my sister (who watches my kids) to keep them longer all week. I hate doing that to her because I know it is challenging. She has a 1 year old, watches another 1 year old a couple hours a day, her boyfriend has a one year old and then my three. It's a lot of work with just my three (I know this), I would just hate to ask her.

Thinking I might just do evening/night gym on Tues/Thurs and continue on my after-work schedule m-w-f. Monday night I worked out after I put the kids to bed. Only thing that sucks is having to drive back to town to go to the gym, but I am really pumped and WANT to workout five days a week.

    Rambling.

So happy for you! You know what I love about your post is that you actually sound like you have got a new and improved healthy lifestyle and are not just on a 'diet'. Once you are at that point of your journey to get healthy when you are looking forward to working out.....you have won the battle.

Good luck to you and awesome job on sticking with it.

Thanks a bunch! I really do feel that way, too. This isn't something that when I hit goal I will just stop. This really is my new way of living and I am really enjoying it. It's not a burden to me and it does not feel like a chore. I enjoy tracking everything I eat and I look forward to working out (something I NEVER felt before). As they say, I'm 'in it to win it'. LOL ...a healthy lifestyle that is!

    On a side note:

I tried taking a comparison pic today to show how baggy my pants are getting (the ones I wore for my 'before' shot, at which time were TIGHT), but you really can't tell in the pic. What you can tell is how much my stomach has shrunk (or whatever tense it should be). I am pleased to be finally getting rid of this GUT!

No loss for me this week. I'm OK with that, considering I lost 4 last week. I am also ovulating this week, so I think some of it may be bloat. At least I didn't gain...I was at exactly 217, same as last week.

Great picture last week, I don't know how I didnt notice that! Don't worry about no loss....its your body's way of holding on to water weight. If you are doing exactly what you are supposed to do, you will see a bigger loss next week.

Had a decent weekend. Did a lot of walking Saturday in the heat, so that was nice.

Did hurt my leg yesterday, burned it on a scooter muffler. SUCKS! Hoping I'm able to workout at least a little before it starts throbbing. On my lower leg, right in the front. Thoughts?!

Do you have any pilates videos or anything like that? I would think something like walking or most other cardio could really make it throb but something like pilates gives your muscles a good workout without getting the HR going as high so hopefully wouldn't make the burn throb and hurt as badly. But I don't really know, just throwing it out there.

How are you feeling about your goal? You've got 2.5 months left to make it-I'll bet you can do it! You seem to be right on track!

No, no pilates or yoga...nothing like that. I guess I could you tube something. I think I am going to just give it a try and if it starts to throb, just quit. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I don't want to mess up the healing process. That's my main concern.

Well this past week's weigh-in threw me for a loop with no loss, but I still think I can pull it off. I mean I lost 4 lbs. the week before, so I just counted two of those as my last week's loss and called it even. If I can continue on and lose 2 lbs. per week like MFP is set to do, I'll make it. I've been upping my workout time/intensity, hoping this will help as well.

UGH...no loss again this week! Plateau at 11 weeks?!...SUCKS!

    Plan of action:
So, after I workout today (provided my burn allows me to), this will make a full week that I've been doing my new 'interval training' on the elliptical, so that change probably hadn't had time to take effect yet. I changed my settings to lose 1.5 lbs./week and it upped my calorie goal to 1400 rather than 1200. I will try this out for a week and see how weigh-in goes next Wednesday. Since we are doing the 5-day workout challenge, that will also help, because I was only working out 3 days a week. Will keep fingers crossed a little change will shock my body and I will see a nice loss next week!

    We shall see what happens.

I am also going to start holding onto my exercise calories. I know some say eat them, some say don't...I have been eating them so to change it up, I am going to stop eating them and see what happens.

ETA: That only leaves 10 weeks to goal...10 x 1.5 lbs. = 15 lbs. putting me under goal. Like I said, I am going to try this for a week and see what happens. Hopefully I will see BIG losses, like more than 1.5 lbs. per week, but I guess only time will tell. If I reach goal, AWESOME...if I don't, I will know I gave it my best effort and will get there shortly after, definitely before official start of summer.

I took my measurements on March 7 (week 9). Took them again just now to see if there was a difference, despite no difference on the scale...here are my results:

    March 7, 2012 / March 21, 2012 (two weeks)

    Arms – 13 / 12
    Neck – 13.5 / 13.5
    Chest – 47.5 / 46.5
    Waist – 39.5 / 37.5
    Thighs – 28.5 / 27.75
    Hips – 52 / 50

Definitely seeing some loss in inches helps!

This is a great way to loose 'weight' !!! You are losing it in inches. I am so happy for you. Good job on the interval training, the weight will just melt off next week

Aunt Flo just arrived. I get the feeling I will have a big loss next week. I'm guessing she has something to do with my non-weight loss this week. I just hopped on the scale and I'm down a lb. from Wednesday (despite her arriving today). We'll just see. Still happy about the inches!

Had a good weekend. Did a lot of walking while pushing the kids in the stroller on Saturday. Took a rest day yesterday, layed out in the sun for a while and got a little tan. Think it messed-up my healing process of my burn! It was super smooth for a couple of days and yesterday when I went to clean it, I had some raised area. Guess the heat, maybe?! I had it covered though. IDK.

Anyway...I am not sure when I will get in my additional two workout days this week...oldest has t-ball practice tues & thurs which pretty much eats up my evenings. Guess I may try to get a walk in, at lunch time for 30 mins. Gym of course M-W-F. Going camping with the family this weekend. I suppose I could get in 30 minutes of walking Sat & Sun, try to make it a point to do so. Wish I had a bike, I could totally ride and get in some exercise. We shall see!

    Happy Monday, everyone!

Posted this on MFP, but just in case we're not friends on there I wanted to post it here too:

T-minus one day until my 12 week mark! I'm so excited that I have made it this far and my whole mentality has changed about my outlook on my health! Most times I look forward to that day I make goal and I start to get impatient. Then I think to myself, this is just how I live my life now...the weight will come off in time and I'm making myself healthy in the process! It's win/win. I have never had this feeling before and I am SOOO glad I do!

The scale finally moved again!!! Down another 4 lbs. YAY!!! Bout time!

New comparison pics. I don't really see a huge difference in the front view, it's the side view that I really notice the most change. Which is good...Happy to be getting rid of that yucky tummy!

Seems like forever since I've written here! It's actually been almost two weeks! Things are going good. Down another 1.5 lbs at last weeks weigh-in. At 34.5 total. 15.5 to go til my first GOAL! I have been on vacation since Friday before last. We went on a camping trip from Sat-Mon and we just got back from a two-day beach trip last night. I was not good this past weekend, went over Fri-Sun, but still logged. Back to the gym today. I stepped on the scale this a.m. to see if I had done any damage and the verdict is...NO! I am still where I was last Wednesday, WHEWWW...relief! I am getting ready to shock the crap out of my body from what it may have been getting used to, so hopefully I see good numbers this Wednesday.

Down another 2 lbs. YAY!!! I am so thankful my fluid went down...I had a lot of fluid from a sunburn I got on Sunday. I really thought it was going to stick with me during my weigh-in. I hopped on the scale repeating..210, 210 and I got 209.5! I was thrilled!!!

Just checking in. Week 15 weigh-in tomorrow. Started jogging at the gym...walk/jog intervals. It's painful, but I feel great after I'm done!
