Question 15 weeks and no AF. What's going on??

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and looking for advice. I just don't know what's going on with my body anymore. Anyone who has experience or helpful words to share would be greatly appreciated!

I'm 20 years old and my boyfriend & I have been together for what will be 5 years in February. We only use protection about half the time and I do have a history of an irregular AF so I never really know what to think when I miss one. In November of last year I went to my gynecologist and got a full panel of blood tests done just to make sure everything was in working order with my lady parts because of the irregularity. When the tests came back it showed that I had no STDs and my hormone levels, thyroid & whatever else all came back normal. I also got an ultrasound done to check for cysts and they didn't find anything. I had a slightly abnormal pap smear but was told it was hormonal & not cancerous and not to worry. I started BC again to get AF back on track. Unfortunately BC didn't really agree with me and I had to stop after 6 months because of the headaches & nausea it gave me.

My period is still somewhat irregular now but I also realized that I have long cycles (35-45 days, can be longer). I had a period pretty normally for most of this year but it has now been 15 weeks since my last period in September. When I missed the next period it seemed like it was probably stress related so I passed it off as nothing. I began to get a little concerned when I missed a second period because honestly I was probably more stressed during the months that my period actually showed up. I took many pregnancy tests that came out negative so I just waited for my period to show.

On Nov 22 I began 5 days of light spotting, probably only once or twice a day & only when I wiped. The first day it was a streak of bright red blood mixed in with cm, then 3 days of light pink cm, then some brown cm on the last. It was definitely way too light to be a period. I've had nothing since then but cm. I have never had spotting like that before, I usually spot for a day or two then start AF. I tested 2 weeks after and it was negative. Another test two weeks after that was also negative. I stopped testing after that but still no sign of AF.

I have no idea if I'm pregnant or not, but I feel like I've been having some symptoms of something anyway. I've had more headaches, more nausea & inability to eat but also very hungry when I am hungry. I'm super tired and sleep a lot more than usual. I also seem to sweat a little bit more & have what I can only think hot flashes must be like, while also getting cold easily, and more nights of restless sleep & night sweats. It's also uncomfortable to have pressure on my lower abdomen, like when my little chihuahua-dachshund mix walks across my lap. I don't really know if I'm going to the bathroom more often because I normally have to pee a lot but my bb's have been getting sore (but not bigger) in the past few days. I also feel like my sense of smell is a lot stronger.

I know the symptoms could be a result of me overthinking the lateness of my period. I'm also hoping that these could be signs of PMS. I've been eating healthier and exercising a bit more in the past 6 months so I'm at an even healthier weight than I was at previously. I took the advice of a lady on another forum and began taking maca capsules every day to help even out my hormones if that's the problem but my period is still not here. Is it possible I skipped a few periods then finally ovulated & got pregnant mid November? That would put me at about 5-6 weeks. Would I still be getting a negative result at that point? What in the WORLD could be wrong with me? Are my hormones just wacky? If anyone has any thoughts or similar experiences, please share them with me. I need any help I can get!

I would go back to doctor and have them check at 5-6 weeks something would show up on a us and you would have elevated betas. Hope u get an answer soon.

i think at this point, if you've tested and it's been negative you should see your gyn. Your symptoms could be pregnancy related or many other things. Hope everything works out soon for you. Keep us posted on what happens.

I'm going to run out and buy a test in a bit. I almost wish it would just come out positive so I can stop worrying lol

I'm with the others - if this test is negative again, I'd head into the doc. They can do blood work and / or an u/s and tell you for sure if you're pregnant or not. Better to know for sure!

I tested again, negative I didn't get First Response this time though. I started some light brown spotting last night so I'm hoping that means AF is on her way lol. If AF is still a no-show in a few days then I'm off to the doctor.

I'm kinda sad. Even though I'm not TTC I still wanted it to be positive for some reason.

So I've been spotting brown for 4 days now. There hasn't been any red blood. What's up with that?

I would prob go into the doc and get checked out to make sure everything's ok. At this point I'd figure that you for sure aren't pregnant, but not having AF for 15 weeks and then spotting brown is just strange... so unless it turns red, I"d prob just go in. I'm sure it's nothing serious but it's worth getting checked out. Good luck!
