    Unhappy Positive or Negative??

First off Im not use to all of the acronyms. I apologize.

Yesterday I took an at home 6 day early detection pregnancy test. I should start my period either this friday or saturday. I took Two of them at diffent times of the day and they were both positive. The next day I went to my friends doctor even though i have not offically had a missed period.
It was the most unprofessional doctors office ive been to. She didn't have me fill any paper work out. She just took me back and had me pee in a cup. Then told me to wait and came back literally 60 seconds later and said it was negative.. twice.

So I asked if I dont start my period this weekend if I should come back next week. And she said that the home pregnancy test may detect more HCG than the doctors office one. She proceeded to give me a script for having blood drawn at an off site lab office to be sure. I feel like the Doctors off urine test should be MORE accurate. The girl did not seem very knowledegable of the test strips. Im afraid if I go get my blood drawn before my missed period it will say negative again.

Should I wait? Or just go do it? I was thinking about taking another at home test tomrw morning. If positive, then take the script to go get the blood draw.

But is it possible that the at home test is more accurate?

Yes, it is very possible and fairly likely that your at home test was more sensitive. It's up to you if you want to get the blood test now or wait. If you had enough HCG to make a test positive, it will come up in your blood test. Do you know if the test is for positive/negative or quantitative? If it's just for positive/negative I would wait on the test until your period is late.

The script she gave me had : hcg, total, QN checked. But it didnt offer any other codes with hcg in it. Thanks for the advice.

    Total possible.

I'd just hold onto the script if I were you and go the day after AF is due. Then you'll be officially late and the test will tell you more.

I'd wait til after AF is due and then test again. If its positive, then I'd go for the blood draw. Best of luck!
