Need advice :S Is this possible?

So I'm on Generess, and I had sex tonight. And a few hours after sex, when I came home, I felt a severe cramping in my left ovary. I thought it was ovulation pain. So I'm pretty sure I ovulated tonight, even though I'm supposed to start my period in four/five days.. is this even possible? Or is it in my head?

You can ovulate late or early. Your ovulation won't always be the same.

Do you typically cramp that bad at ovulation?

You can cramp pretty badly with ovulation. It's also possible that you already ovulated and the pain you felt was a small cyst or something like that. Sometimes my ovaries hurt for no apparent reason at all. Our bodies are complicated.

Are you very regular with taking your pill? Because I thought that being on the pill stopped the ovaries from releasing an egg? So I guess I don't know why you would be having ovulation pains unless you missed a couple of pills or something.

the cramp could be your period coming on as well.
