Question - possibly preggo?

I'm not new to this, I have an 18-month old daughter I just need to know if anyone knows if a PAP test can tell you if you are pregnant? I am 3 days late, took a digital test with a "not pregnant" result this morning. I had my PAP smear and check up this past Friday ... I assume if I was pregnant that the PAP or the vaginal check would have indicated pregnancy?

No, a PAP smear will not indicate pregnancy - neither will a vaginal check. However, most GYNs do a UA dip prior to your visit which also includes a urine pregnancy test. If you are pregnant and were enough DPO to register HCG on a HPT, it would have showed up and they would have told you at the visit.

hmm... didn't do a urine test this time at my appt so I guess I just have to wait it out... just don't want to spend more on home tests if the PAP will indicate a pregnancy. Thanks for the info!

I have never heard of a PAP being able to indicate pregnancy. If you wait a little bit longer, and know your cycle dates, you can buy a cheaper test and have accurate (mostly) results

They are not checking for pregnany with a pap. Good luck and I hope you are! Emma is so cute and would be a great big sis!
