    Default Would like some ideas...

Hello! I've got a few questions and hoping to get some ideas. My period was due Oct. 24. Took a HPT on the 27th and came back negative. Then I had cramping Friday night (10/28) and Saturday (10/29), I guess you could say I had some heavy spotting? It kinda off and on all day Satuday (but seemed like it was more than just spotting but definitely nothing like my normal period...) and then by Sunday afternoon (10/30), I realized it had completely stopped (could that be implantation bleeding? Never had it before). Okay so fast forward to yesterday (11/3), took another HPT, still coming up negative. I DO have Implanon, however, it expired in March 2011 (getting it out after we get tax money back). Have been using pull out method since then. Also, in May of 2010, I had a bad car accident, shattered the left side of my pelvis so now I have 4 plates and 15 pins holding the left side of my pelvis together and I read online that having pelvic surgery can increase one's chances of having an ectopic pregnancy and that those don't always show up on HPT. As far as symptoms...not really having any unless it's the fatigue I've been feeling (but I also have 3 kids between ages 3-8 so hard to tell on that one =o). ANd I did have sharp pains twice before I was supposed to start my period (probably about 1-2 weeks before). With my last three pregnancies, it never happened like this. Just a regular missed period, take a test, and instant positive! My plan is to wait another week, take my last HPT and if it's negative, then go to local health department for pap smear. Anyone got any ideas on what this could be? Pregnancy? Cysts (have a history of those but haven't had one in years and don't remember having a period or whatever you wanna call that like I had on 10/29)? Ectopic? (praying not that!!!) Any thoughts will be appreciaated! =o)

I really wish I had some advice for you but I honestly am not sure what could be going on. If it were me I would go and see a doctor. Your better safe than sorry! If it is ectopic they could be very dangerous and are better off if caught early! I am sorry I couldn't help you out! But good luck with everything and I wish you the best! My thoughts and prayers are with you and hoping for the best!

Praying that everything is well and that it was just a strange period. If it continues, I would see a doctor just to have an ectopic pregnancy ruled out. Also if you are, you probably will need extra monitor since you have plates and pins in your pelvis.

I would think so but someone else just posted on here that she didn't get a positive with her first child till she was 11 days late, so who knows? go to the doc and ask for a blood test to be sure!
