We Moved!

Hi all!
It's been a while since I've been on. We picked up roots and moved. We still own our house in New Hampshire, but now we are in New Mexico (military move).
We took 7 days to drive across country...took our time and made a vacation out of it. My sister flew to Boston to accompany us and just flew home from albuquerque a few days ago. We are still living in an extended stay suite until the movers can deliver our household goods next Weds. So, we have been living out of suitcases and "homeless" since end of Sept. Such a crazy life and I am R.E.A.D.Y to get settled into our new home!

DS has done amazingly well! We were blessed with an easy-going, adaptable boy! He's only 2 though, so he really doesn't know the difference yet.

Now the hardest part starts...finding a new home church and me a new job. I am not looking forward to that part! And it's always hard getting involved in the beginning and finding good friends.

DH and I have had some extremely tense moments as this always proves to be the ultimate test on our marriage (as it is for everyone, I think). But we made it and we didn't kill each other or leave one or the other on the side of the road...so it should go only up hill from here. We aren't nearly as stressed as we were. Before we left, we sold one car, found tenants to rent our house...so it was really tough there for a while.

But, God is good and always makes things work out in the end. it think He likes to make us sweat a little, doesn't He?

Would appreciate prayer in finding a home church. I dread this part of the journey every time we move and I often get extremely discouraged.

Hope everyone is doing well and can't wait to get online a little more often now!

What an adventure! Cross country moves are SO stressful. (Learned that moving from CA to NC. Ugh.) But it sounds like you are over the worst of it. Glad you are back on here. Praying you find a home church soon, and settle in to your new area.
