Great job! Getting smaller than a pre pregnancy weight is always thrilling! Keep it up!

The workouts are going good...it's making the time to do them. I've been having too many late nights to get up early and I really dislike working out before bed. Yesterday I got off work early and picked the girls up and did my workout in the afternoon which worked well, except then I have to shower in the middle of the afternoon which throws my whole day off! I'm hoping once school starts next week we can settle down into some sort of routine.

I am having a hard time finding the time to exercise as well. I am super exhausted from school this week. I missed one of my workouts and made it up yesterday but now I am supposed to workout tonight but I don't wanna! LOL. I could go to bed right now and its only...6:35 pm. UGH!

I've missed 3 workouts this week I have had a bad emotional week and while I've stayed mostly within points every day, it has caused me to have a migraine (crying is a trigger for me as is lack of sleep) since Wednesday

I didn't even remember to weigh in this morning. I'll have to do it tomorrow and put it in. We are headed out to a lake all day tomorrow so I think I'll do good with my points since most of what we're taking is fruit and salads for food.

My weigh in today (for yesterday) was the same as my low earlier this week-192.8! that's almost officially 10 pounds from when I started 4 weeks ago

We had a great day at a lake. Did a 4 mile hike to a waterfall, spent time on the boat. It was a nice holiday weekend

School starts for the girls on Tuesday and I'm hoping to get myself in to the gym and into a routine finally!

Oops...I got the dates wrong and thought you were going to the lake tomorrow. Anyway, I am glad that the weigh-in was the same and that you had a good time today.

I posted that before midnight my time so for me it was tomorrow but I guess for anyone not on the west coast it was "today".

We did a TON of outside work this morning. Raking, mowing, pulling two of those large lawn waste carts full of weeds, etc. It was great because since both John and I were busy doing it the girls had to get in on the action and get moving.

I still have 7 points left for the day but I don't think I'm going to eat them. I'm just not hungry at all and I just had a hard boiled egg and a smoothie, so my stomach is plenty full for the evening.

Tomorrow school starts and life gets crazy. I've got to figure out how to fit in drop off, my workout (joining the gym tomorrow finally), my working 15ish hours/week, kindergarten pick up, and 3 hours later 1st grade pick up. Plus planning breakfasts that can be eaten on the go in the car, good healthy lunches, and having dinner under control. I'm going to be going for the next month or so until we get into a routine of some kind I think!

You'll figure it all out - and then once you do - something will change That's if you have luck like me 10 lbs is great...you have to be feeling physically a lot better. It's amazing what just a little exercise can do!

I am so glad my kids aren't in school yet. I know it will make life more challenging for us.

10 lbs!!!! That is great! I have lost 10 lbs but it's been over 3 months.

192 even this morning, so 10.8 pounds!

I signed up at the gym this morning and my first goal is 3 days/week, hopefully moving up to 5. There is a spinning class at 5:15am on T/Th and a Zumba class at 6:15 t/Th evenings. I want to start taking one or the other which would involved either staying out at my parents the night before (if I do spinning) or the night of (if I do zumba) so the girls can be in bed/get to school on time since I cannot always depend on DH to be home at a set time. But first, the habit to GO needs to be formed!

You can do it! My main problem with working out in a gym is I don't really like going by myself.

See, I prefer going by myself. Probably because I've never had anyone to go with

I went and played Bunco (a dice game) with my mom and bunch of ladies from her church last night. There was one there I knew a little but we really got to talking last night and I found out that she goes to the same gym. The only time she can guarantee she is there is while her youngest is in ballet, but it works perfectly for me to plan at least once a week to be working out with a partner. I think I'll give that a try. And then she and another gal are going to start walking after they drop their kids off at school next week so I might tag along on that, also.

I've never had an exercise buddy, either. People say having someone to meet really motivates you to get up and go. Congrats on the gym membership

An exercise buddy once a week would be a good break in the routine. I like your goals you are setting!

I just got done doing 30 minutes @ 3.5mph on the treadmill with varying incline and then 45 minutes on the bike keeping my HR around 135-140. And now to go home and pull weeds and mow the lawn once the girls are in bed!

What about smoothies for breakfast in the car during all that driving around?

I'm with you. It's my alone time. I hate that other people are even there, honestly, because there's a chance I'll have to make chitchat with someone. I get on that weird machine I love, turn on music or a podcast or even watch something on Netflix, and it's just MY TIME.

We do smoothies a few mornings a week-when I'm not running too late to whip them up. They love them. I've usually done a smoothie and a cheese stick or a piece of fruit and a cheese stick. They're not big eaters early in the morning, and I figure with a smoothie I can pack in greek yogurt, milk, spinach and carrots, whatever fruits I have and some flax seed and they'll get more fuel that way than what they would get trying to eat on their way there? The love oatmeal but we would have to have them up before 6am to have time for them to sit down and eat it. I wonder if they'll eat hard boiled eggs. I'm on a boiled egg kick and I guess I could share...

This gym blows my mind. It's a 24 hour one where you have a key-card that gets you in all hours to any of them (anytime fitness. I know they've got them in Idaho where my brothers live and throughout Oregon and WA so I have no excuse on vacations!) and the times I've been there to either get a tour, talk to my SIL while she's getting ready for a zumba class or sign up there hasn't been more than 1 other person in there! I'm going tomorrow morning for a session with a trainer-I get 3 free ones with my membership-and I'm debating if I should go workout and then have the session afterward or if I should show up for the session and then workout. It's just a short get to know you, goal setting session I think.

I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow. But my goal is to push through that and hopefully do my upper body with weights and the rowing machine since today was the walking and the bike.

Have fun with the trainer! My splurge at the moment is working out with a trainer twice a week. And try the spinning class - it's really fun!

So a friend of mine teaches spinning on Mondays. I'm going to try and grab a guest pass from her either tomorrow or else next Monday if I can't get ahold of her in time. I want to try it out in a "safe" environment before I show up at my new gym and fail at it

We had a family reunion this weekend and while I did a lot of swimming and innertubing and knee boarding...I also did a lot of eating so I'm expecting to see some pretty good damage on the scale at my next weigh in

The beauty of spinning is that you are the only one who knows how hard you are working...So it is impossible to fail at it. But it is a good idea to have someone help you set up on the bike, otherwise you can injure your back.

The trainer was really just a talking assessment. He has to wait for a faxed note from my doctor to release me to be able to make a fitness plan...and of course I don't HAVE a primary doctor so I have an appointment next week with a new doctor but the nurse thinks he'll go ahead and fax the letter over after reviewing my EKG and all that this week.

The spinning...oh boy. I didn't got with my friend. I ended up dragging my baby brother and his wife along to the gym we all go to. We went yesterday morning at 5:30. They did fine-well, I guess they left 10 minutes early. He has a chronic foot injury from when he was in the army and being up out of the saddle aggravated it, but he thinks if he keeps working at it he'll be able to find a way to not hurt his foot.

Me...I barely made it past warm up. I made sure I didn't have my resistance up high or anything. But my chest started hurting and pounding so I got off and went out to the regular gym and pulled my HR on a treadmill-it was bouncing between 175-185. And that was just 10 minutes of warmup, not even the actual real working out. I think I'm just not ready for it yet. So I'm going to stick with the treadmill and then move to the elliptical and then maybe throw in some time on the spinning bike they have out in the gym, just to work my way up. And when I do go to another class I think I'll not get up out of the saddle, but just work first on just staying sitting. We'll see. I'm going to go to a Zumba class with my SIL next Thursday to see how I like that. It's hard because the classes are all either at 5:30am or 6pm and I live 20 minutes away, and already make 2 trips out there between the girls' school drop offs and pick ups so I might not be cut out for classes at this point in life. But I have made myself go to the gym 5 out of the last 8 days, so that's progress for me!

I actually ended up gaining 3 pounds over the weekend's family reunion. But as of this morning I've lost it all except .2, so that's great news I think!

That is great news! I think there will always be special days or holidays that are a challenge. The key is to get back on track and not let the slide continue. Go you!

Ps- pls remind me this in late oct, Halloween candy is so hard for me to ignore! I'm already getting nervous...
