I'm going out to lunch with a friend today-Olive Garden. Of course I chose this before I started on on a diet. I jus looked up how many points my normal dish is there-36. Wow. Of course ibusually only eat one bite and them take it home for two or three meals later because I fill up on soup and breadsticks. But still! I need to choose soup. There are two I like there. One is 3pts the other is 7. Should be a no brainer, but I sort of feel like if I'm not getting my normal favorite dish I should at least get my favorite soup...hmmm.

My mom is makin some kind of frozen lemonade cake that sounds yummy so I have got to have pits left over for that! And I DO have a full 76 points I could use today if things get out of hand

Well I used 22 out of my 30 daily points while at Olive Garden. I went ahead and got my favorite soup-the chicken gnocchi, but just one bowl instead of 2 like I usually have-and I had 2 breadsticks (compared to the 4-5 I normally eat) and I got the Venetian Apricot Chicken with asparagus and broccoli. I ate most of it, but not all-it took a little bit for me to really decide I liked it. I usually get their cheese ravioli with alfredo sauce and chicken. But I really did like the apricot chicken, so I'm glad I tried it!

In a few hours we head to my parents' and are having a BBQ and dessert. I'll probably just have a turkey burger pattie with veggies and then we'll see about dessert. I don't think I'll end up using all my flex points, even!

I had the same kind of day yesterday since I splurged but I guess that's life! Sounds like you had a fun b-day. I really want to do sports active again. We moved into this house a year ago and it was wired for a home entertainment system. Neither DH nor myself are good at that stuff so we had to pay someone to set it up. Now if we add anything, we have hire someone again- so we have not added anything. (our old wii was stolen/lost during the move). We will do it eventually but it's probably going to be a while, we have so many household projects on the list already. I think this week I'm going to try to some of the easier exercise tv stuff while I'm in the playroom with the boys. Maybe I can burn a few calories during the day and best of all, it's already set up for me!

I'm back down this morning. I didn't eat all my points yesterday. Just wasn't hungry and short of eating a whole bunch of cookie dough-the only thing I even wanted to eat-I just wasn't going to get them eaten so I stopped at one spoonful and put the rest in the freezer for another day.

This morning I had a yummy fruit smoothie and a greek yogurt for breakfast. Lunch will be a chicken salad. Not sure after that. The girls and I are headed out of town for the rest of the week and I'm not sure how I'll do on tracking points while at other peoples' houses, so we'll see, I guess!

I did the EA Active 2 last night. Just did a low impact workout and OMG my hips and butt are sore. My hips are driving me nuts. If I walk too fast I have one that feels like it is falling out of it's socket and that's how they both felt during the workout, like I had to keep grabbing onto something to keep from falling over. They just keep wanting to give out. It's gotten worse with each pregnancy but I think this time all the bedrest and then me not being able to do much since delivery until now has just made it worse. Hopefully they'll get stronger and more healthy with time/exercise, right?

That is AWESOME!!! Have you started the workouts yet?

Oh, I see that you did!!! You may have to modify some things until you do get stronger...I have and still do modify parts of the workout. What program did you start? You may want to do the cardio kick start first. The workouts are shorter and mostly cardio related. I am working with some knee pain from pushing myself too hard a few weeks back. I am super stoked about the results. I can feel my muscles!!! You will get stronger. Just don't push too hard or you could hurt yourself. You will see the results soon enough!

That number looks awesome, and is surely motivating, but inhave to remind myself that really I had 7 extra pounds that came about from surgery that I had two days before joining Weight Watchers. So really it's only a .4 pound loss if you take out the fluids and all that. But still, I think getting those 7 off would have taken me a lot longer.

Thanks for the tips. I did the low impact workout-don't remember the name-and it was a lot of lower body and almost nothing else. I'll give the cardio one a try before I start the 9-week program.

I think the Cardio Kick Start is a 3 week program. I have my game set to medium and some days I feel like I am going to die...LOL. I did the low impact workout you are talking about...it was pretty tough for me as well. My hips, butt, and thighs were on FIRE! Your thighs will burn a lot during your workouts...believe me! But it is so worth it! I actually have muscle again! And now that I think about it, my hips felt weird the first couple of weeks. But it gets better.

I had a trainer tell me once that everyone has a skinny person inside them. I want to be skinny but mostly I want to be fit. I have never been a tiny person. I have always had a muscular shape so I just want to get back to that. I have been so unhappy because I'm so squishy...I hate squishy.

Went out of town for the week and didn't really track, just was careful. I tracked now that I'm home and I only went over on points once and it was only like 4 points, so not too big of a deal, but travelling always bloats me and constipates me I'm back to 195 today. Maybe between today and tomorrow I can manage to get back down to 193 for my Sunday weigh in

Keira heard John and I taking about numbers and our food at dinner tonight and had to get the scoop on what we were discussing (she's such a numbers nerd already!) so now she wants to know what number points eveything she eats is. She was already obsessed about food, when she gets to eat next, how much, what it is. I'm a little leary of her really tuning into this. She's such a tiny little thing and I just worry about how to teach her about health and why Dad and I are trying to "get our bodies smaller" without having her obsess-she has an obsessive personality already a just age 6

It's 7:30, girls are in bed and John is playing bridge until midnight. I am going to make myself work out before I let myself catch up on some tv shows I missed this week. Hopefully it goes better than last night. I lasted about 10 minutes of whateve workout John was doing (we got a second set of monitors for the Active 2) and I was wheezing and had to do another round on my inhaler even though I had used it before I even started!

How did your workout go? Do you have it set to easy/low? I think that will help you a lot with the asthma. Also, if you do all three of the 10 min step arobics you burn like 300 cals and its low impact and you don't really need to have a step to do it...although I guess you do because you are on the Wii. Anyway, its a 30 min low impact, kinda mellow, and easy to follow along cardio exercise...just FYI. Let me know if you try it!

I started the 3 week cardio program, set to easy. Way better for me than the cardio workout John had set for medium last night. And way better than whatever low impact one I did on Sunday. I think I'll be sore tomorrow, but still able to walk at least. I then followed it up with a trainer-generated core routine. Ugh. My core is so out of shape! But my breathing seems to have been a bit easier tonight.

It will get better and better! It is amazing how our bodies adapt to change so quickly! I always have to tell myself, "it should be challenging but not killing you!" I want to most bang for my buck (if you know what I mean) and sometimes I can push myself too far. I think that is why I am having such a problem with my knees. They are getting better so I am super glad about that!

Anyway, I hope you are loving the game/workout. I know I sure am.

PS. I know what you mean about the core area. My core is no where in sight...it will be a while until I see actual muscles...LOL.

Your doing great. Harley is 3.5 and weighs regularly at home. She thinks it's fun to get that number. But she also said the other day "I can't have too much butter, it will make me fat". We are rubbing off on her. I worry.
