I'm healing from the pain of the miscarriage. Our marriage is slowly healing also. DH has a steady job that is honest in their dealings with him, and we have medical benefits. We finally have enough money to buy things like a pair of jeans when they are needed. Our fridge and cupboards have food other than ramen and mac n' cheese in them. I found a good church with sound teaching and I'm starting to actually meet people and start friendships.

I am definitely feeling grateful right now.
For our loving providing God. I'm so glad you are in such a better place.

and Praises for your DH's safe return. I hope you get to spend a looong time catching up. Thank you for you and your DH's commitment to our country.

Soooo, went and played softball last night and totally embarassed myself. I can catch and throw the ball just fine but apparently softball where I come from and when I played (little league) is different from adult softball leagues. The pitches are thrown/lobbed towards home plate and a strike is if it hits home plate vs. actually passing OVER home plate. I kept swinging at the ball figuring one of them had to pass over and only connected with one pitch out of 15-20. The thing is this was my very first practice and nobody told me this. I found out last night when I was talking to DH about all the terrible pitches I was thrown and he was like "Those were all strikes". I think because it's a church league no one wants to correct each other but man some insight would have been nice! Of course, now that I know I have no excuse for next time.
So, just a little chit chat. Anyone else play adult softball ever? Amanda how do you like the shred workout?

That is awesome. In California I am always hearing about how others are offended that they SAW someone pray privately. The Pledge of Allegiance was not outlawed in CA!!! The 9th Circuit Court actually said that it is fine to say "Under God" voluntarily. So I am not sure if people were trying to outlaw the whole thing or just the phrase "Under God" but it is nice that the state is at least holding up our Nation's history.

Caligirl: I will look at those videos. Thanks!

    More praises to report!!

The other day DH decided out of the blue to sell his online game account (with the character he has developed) to some fellow player and close his account. It really came out of left field, I haven't said anything about it lately. I asked him about it today and he said "Well, I was on my game and Lily came up and started messing with my mouse. I kept telling her "no touch!" but she kept doing it. I finally realized that she was not trying to take the mouse away or play with it... she was trying to get MY attention, and I was too busy playing my game to notice. So I'm closing my account."

And then... tonight we were talking about our marriage and changes we want to make and stuff. Again, out of the blue, he asked "How much are patches?" I told him how much and then asked if he was ready to start quitting. He said "Well, I am past the point of it being new and enjoyable. Now I am at the point where I don't do it because I enjoy it. I am doing it because I HAVE to. I don't like that. Quitting is going to be a process but I'm ready to start."

Girls... seriously, these are blessings dropped right down from heaven. I have been struggling DAILY to keep my mouth shut about these things. It is REALLY hard for me not to say "ok, these are problems, we need to fix them, and this is how we are going to do it. See Chart A..." Ok, not that bad, but pretty close! But I was really convicted with 1 Peter 3:1 about winning husbands over without words, and I've been doing my best even though its been killing me.

God is faithful. I know quitting is going to be a process. But to hear him say he is ready to start without me badgering him is AMAZING and so encouraging! And the fact that he quit gaming because of Lily... *happy sigh* I just love my DH so much.

That is so awesome Polly!!!! We will keep praying for you guys.

OK so I know some of you remember that friend I asked advice on. So done! Seriously today was just one of those days where she was trying to get into family business for the sake of gossip. I didn't give her answers and she is mad at me! She felt disrespected, because my sister and I would not indulge in her desire for gossip. So I e-mailed her, a nice letter DH read it before I sent it, and she wrote me a letter about how rude I was and how my family is more important than her. So tired of the guilt trip. I'm done! I am sleeping on it before I write anything, but just done!

    Polly thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone else. DH and i just hit the major Khols sale this morning. We haven't bought him any summer cloths in well over 3 years (I usually get winter cloths for him for Christmas gifts and I usually keep up with his work cloths because he has to wear dress cloths to work). It was SOOOO hard for me to hold back and not get anything...well ok got 1 necklace that was clearanced and 1 pair of shoes for little man...but DH got like 10 outfits and 2 bathing suits and we only spent about 140 bucks. AND got Khols cash so he can get the shoes he wanted too next week. Ahhhh.....I can't WAIT to throw out the holey shirts and way to tight shorts FINALLY!!!LOL!!!! DH usually hates to shop but this time he was a pleasure and actually liked MY suggestions for clothing.

    Thanks girls! God is good!

Mary - Ummm... did she think she was supposed to be priority over your family?? Praying for you. KUP!

DeeDee - Hope the time goes quick for you!

Brenda - That sounds like fun! I think a lot of men would go forever with stains and holes in their clothes if they didn't have wives. lol

Has anyone heard from Carrie (CDWard) recently? She is on my FB but she hasn't posted there or here for a while. Hoping she is ok.

Brenda: Yay for shopping!!! DH's job might move to a real office, long story, but he said I might get to help him pick out new clothes if they do.

Polly: yeah so....basically ball is in her court, but I gave her the option of opting out of our friendship. Very sad 9 years of friendship has come to this.

Brenda, How fun, I really need to work on my dh's wardwrob... needs an overhaul!
Polly, haven't heard from carrie or ayles... in a few days, hope things are ok for both of them.

We have this railroad camp near us called Roaring Camp... well today they had Thomas the Train, a life size engine that takes people for rides, so we took Tristyn, she had SOOOO much fun! Dh and I were laughing at the thought... thinking back 5 years ago neither of us would have never guessed what we would spend to ride on a Thomas the Train ride... but alas we were there!

Crazy... she posted on FB like right after I posted here. She is fine. Her satellite is down and needs to be fixed. Hope she will be back soon.

I thought Ayles was traveling home soon, isn't she? Hope everything is going well with her, too.

Katie - Isn't that funny? lol I crack up all the time at things I am willing to say/do for my LO. I bet Tristyn just adored you guys for that though!

So guys, I was wondering... I have a real problem with people complaining. I have very little patience. There are a couple of people in my life where it seems like all they do is complain about their problems, and then when a problem solves itself, they start complaining about that too! It drives me crazy and makes me not want to be around them. I am not outspoken, and I know I would never say anything, but it just stresses me out and brings me down. Also, I should add that these aren't people I can really remove myself from, there are family ties. And I wouldn't want to anyway, because other than the complaining, they are great people! So basically I just need advice on how to cope with it on my end and just sorta suck it up or whatever.

Do any of you have issues like that? Bleh.

I guess I understand if people need to vent their feelings--and some people really seem to need to do this more than others--but I just want to tell them to get over it! I just wish I had more patience, compassion, and understanding for the things people go through in America. I feel like we have things so good in this country, the things we complain about are just ridiculous when you step back and look at the big picture.

Joyce Meyer actually did a message about that. She suggested that everyday you exclaim 7 things that you are grateful for. It really does help with attitude shifting. I was doing it for awhile as my FB status but I haven't been on FB as much lately and TBH I kind of forgot about it so ty for the reminder!

No problem! I like that idea, I might have to start doing that on mine! All my statuses for the last four months have been about food...

Josie, I know people like that! And it's family. I sometimes feel like I get dumped on all the time, and it's hard! Especially when that listening ear is not returned, you know?

Josie.. my family is like that all the time. I myself get to be a "Debbie Downer" too after being around them. I want to be there for them but when they start bringing you down it's time to tune them out.
