Super sweet, we did that same thing with both of our girls too (also baptist) Hope the dresses get here! Super excited your hubby is participating with you too!

Praise God; that is wonderful. We're going to dedicate Adriel as well; making the committment to train him in the admonition of the Lord. We'd like him to be a little older and understand the meaning of baptism and make a decision himself to do it.

And yes please post pictures if you take some!

Why am I always surprised when sinners sin? Or espouse views that are sinful? *facepalm*

Does anyone else do that? Expect someone to be godly when they're not a Believer?

    And I should add

Of course I'm a sinner, too. Do you ever get sick of being one?

DH is a closet Disney fan. He likes Disney, but is not as obsessed as I am. He does like going more than he lets on. His sister let me on that one!

Yeah being a sinner sucks. Just remember that we only have a short time here. Yes we will sin, but one day we will be perfect. And also remember that when we forgive those who sin our Heavenly Father is smiling upon us for acting like his son.

Yes; but more like I just expect people to act like decent people and am astounded when they refuse to for the sake of spite, pride. I guess it's more like I get surprised that people aren't convicted when shortcomings are presented.

And yes, and yes - thank God! (*shakes fist at Adam - sorry bad joke - j/k)

Mia had her 6 month appt yesterday. She did fine with shots but she is a little beanpole - 16% weight and 80% height! She's got daddy's long legs lucky girl

I mentioned in another post about dealing with silliness from my mom for my upcoming visit to NY in a few weeks. She didn't want me to tell my dad I would be in town so I wouldn't have to spend any time with him and she is refusing to invite half our family to a bbq, even though they sent us gifts when Mia was born. I shot her a lighthearted email on Tuesday asking her to reconsider inviting them for the sake of reconnecting with the family and I haven't heard back from her since, so I pray she didn't blow her top over it. I generally don't stand up to her but now that I have to manage my own family I think it's time to - in a loving manner of course. I have a feeling this could make for a very uncomfortable visit!

Work is such a whirlwind of craziness this week! I was told that we were losing work by the end of the month that would probably lead to my layoff. And then today, was told that the client changed things around so we're not leaving. I'm mixed in my feelings. I was really hoping that this was God's way of letting me stay at home though I HATED the idea of others losing their job, too. But, I was also thinking about DH's job (he works for the same company) and was wondering how/if it would mess with his employment.

I refuse to worry about this but just the up & down of it all is just tiresome. lol On a really good note, DH & I are leaving for a little "us" time Friday morning & having the weekend to ourselves. I'm going to miss DD like crazy but it'll be nice to reconnect with DH.

I saw on FB that you were able to have a date night. I really enjoy date nights even though we don't take enough of them. What did you do?

I've left Annabelle overnight before but never two in a row and 6 hours away. I keep on asking God for peace so that I can enjoy time with Jason.

We went out to eat at Papa Vino's. So so good. I had rotini and crabmeat.

And then we went to Border's because we're nerds. Tim looked at dog training and design books and I looked at new non-fiction and knitting patterns.

It was nice to get out just the two of us. We don't do it often enough, I think.

And then we went home to put the kids to bed. (I'm still nursing dd.)

    Amanda~Glad your date went well!

Carrie~That must be exhausting! Praying that it all works out according to God's will. Remember all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose And praying for your peace being away from A. In fact praying for me to get there too lol I am nowhere near leaving Adriel at this point. Jesus help me

    Brenda~No didn't see it.

I'm having a rough day. DH and I had an argument yesterday over whether or not I should buy a pregnancy test (yesterday) or go get a free one at the Christian Pregnancy Center (today). I was hurt because I expressed how I was stressing and needed some peace of mind and in spite of that he said to him it wasn't "crucial" that I get it right this minute because it's not like "anything was going to change overnight." The argument just keep turning into something bigger and ended with me bawling my eyes out, him apologizing, but me just feeling so numb and exhausted that I went to sleep and we haven't really talked since. And I didn't test either way. Sigh. Praying for peace and for the ability to show DH grace and forgiveness because I am really finding that hard right now.

Amanda - glad to hear that you had a nice evening with hubs. It's always nice to get reconnected.

Brenda - I didn't even open that thread about pre-marital sex. I thought it was odd, would be filled with drama, and I just stayed away from it.

ayles - I'm sorry you two are feuding over a HPT. The dollar store sells them so you wanted to get one - it would only cost $1. Also, I hope you two come to terms with each other & can decide on what to do. Honestly? I've never consulted DH about taking a HPT so I'm not much help, am I? Not for any reason other than that I didn't want to stress him out unless it was a positive. lol

Yeah that makes sense. Since this is only our second time of needing to get one I haven't come to a place of doing it apart from him. I don't have family in town or any close girlfriends to do it with and just didn't feel like doing it on my own with Adriel with no support. Any other time maybe it wouldn't be a big deal but I'm just not ready to have a baby right now emotionally, physically or financially so it's stressful.

The feud really wasn't over the HPT in itself really. I don't think he would have cared if I had went and bought one but he was giving his opinion about how he didn't think it was crucial if I had the option of doing it for free and I reacted to that. Maybe I shouldn't have asked what the better option was and should have just said I felt the need to get one and was going to do that, you know?

And really it got bad because after I reacted to what he had said about it not being crucial he went on a completely different tangent talking about how the co-dependency group I attend at CR is having a negative influence over me and that's why I'm so over-reactive. That is when I got M-A-D. I reacted because I felt he was being insensitive not because the ladies in my group are negatively influencing me. And even if he thought that-that was not a good time to bring that up. That's really when it got out of hand because I couldn't believe he was justifying being insensitive by blaming a group of people who have shown nothing but love and support towards us since we started going. In fact just last week he talked about how grateful he was to be there and have godly men around him etc etc. So the enemy I tell you; finding a way/reason to convince DH that CR is not good when he is finally in a place of being encouraged and blessed by it

If you're on the APA homepage, there's different catagories, like Forum News, TTC, Expecting, etc. Random is one of the sub-forums under Fun Escapes.

I think this is the link for the Random: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/for...splay.php?f=38
