I am having an awesome Mother's Day! My lovely, thoughtful husband made me a beautiful card (I mean he worked on it til late last night while Adriel and I were sleeping).

Then I got breakfast in bed and he's taking care of everything in the house and with Adriel. I wouldn't have traded this for anything; not even Babies! (Although I am excited we're going Wednesday *yuk yuk*)

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful sisters!

PS Just took this with Adriel

Oh my gosh, that pic is so adorable! I love it! The card is really sweet, too. Kudos to your DH! Glad you are having a great Mother's Day!

Mine has been good so far also. My sister has really tried to make it special for me, even though I'm not with my DH. She took me out to brunch and gave me roses and lilies, and Ferrero rocher chocolates (my fav!)
6 days left til I'm back with my hubby! Cant wait!

I'm glad that everyone had a nice Mothers Day.

Church was difficult for me yesterday. I did win a $20 GC for having the youngest child - which btw, is totally weird that the youngest is 16mo old- but the whole service was about moms & just made me miss my mom so much.

I did get a cute card from Miss A that we both love.

Is it weird that I have no idea what I want for my birthday? I mean I know I would want to go to Disneyland if we had the money, which we don't. Honestly I really can't think of a single thing I need or really want.

Not really I've had a few birthdays like that I do know what I want for this birthday though which is in 21 days

Sorry you are missing your Mom, Carrie. Its not the same but I kind of know how you feel, since moving away and not spending holidays with my mom.

My preacher must not know how to preach about women; last year his Mother's day sermon was somehow about men and this year was about choices. Good service but I went expected to be challenge as a mother or something to that effect. Anyway, I did have a good Mother's day, Thomas got me a Cherished Teddy collectable with a mommy pushing a stroller and DH got me two necklaces, one a mom and child embracing with Thomas's birthstone and one was a family embracing. I love them. We also went to lunch.

You'll soon be back together with her, Shelly! I will with my mom, too, but (hopefully) not as quickly as you & your mom. I still am needed down here a bit longer before reuniting with my mom.

I got a nice Mother/Daughter pendant that Jason bought for my charm bracelet. It looks sooo delicate, though, that I'm afraid of putting it on there. I'm so hard on jewelry & currently have 2 charms that are broke off. The card that Annabelle got me is a recorded card...I opened it up to hear Jason saying "Happy Mothers Day 2010 from Annabelle & Dadd'n" and then it sang 'I love you a bushel & a peck' by Doris Day. I love that song - mom sang it to me & I've sung it to Annabelle since she was wee-little.

And about birthdays - I usually never know what I want because its just a few days after Christmas. lol What do you want, ayles, since you already know?

That's really sweet! I love that song, too! I've sung it to Lily every day since she was like 2 weeks old.

Oh that sounds lovely Carrie; how thoughtful of DH to have that song that reminds you of your Mom

And speaking of charm bracelets; that's what I want! I saw one at this jewelery store that wasn't expensive at all and you could actually engrave each little one. They had one for a baby boy where you could put your son's name and his dob and then they have a star and our last name is Starr so I wanted to have our wedding date engraved on that and then a cross and I wanted the day I gave my life to Christ on there and so on I don't know if that's what DH will get me but there are a few other things on the "mental list" (we tell each other things we like when we're out so we know what to get on birthdays/holidays) like a silver cross pendant, Joyce Meyer's "Eat the cookie and buy the shoes", journals (I love to collect them as I go through them so quickly), chocolate (!), anything from Bath and Body Works, etc. (lol my list can go on and on)

I don't know where we will be financially when my birthday comes since we literally are living day to day but even if I don't get any of that I am thankful for another year and to be able to spend it with my DH and Adriel. I really had a special Mother's Day even though I didn't get a gift and we didn't do anything fancy, or go out to eat etc. DH's card and all the effort he put in making me breakfast, doing things around the house and with Adriel and just the love and appreciation he showed me all day was more than I could have wanted. During this season I am really learning to be thankful for the true blessings from God such as relationship with Him, relationship with others, joy, peace, love. Praise God.

My grandma was a huge Disneyland fan. She used to go every year. It is fitting that we go in honor of her. Now you know where I get my obsession from!

My sister absolutely spoiled Lily and me today. We went to JCPenny and she bought me like 6 tops, and Lily 3 dresses. Then she bought Lily a Leapfrog stuffed dog that says her name and sings songs and stuff. I feel overwhelmed by her kindness.

I fly back to my hubby on Saturday! I am excited!

Polly - how sweet of your sister. And A has that dog, too, and loves it. The first time Jason heard it sing & heard it singing about cottage cheese (A's favorite food!), he about died. lol He looked at me like I had two heads & said "It's singing about cottage cheese?" It was soooo funny.

So, I'm dedicating Annabelle at Sunday's service. I'm Baptist so there won't be any water/baptizing. It's more like a covenant between me & God that I will raise her in a Christian home. Jason will be there, too, as well as his parents, my sister/bil, and my dad/wife. It really warms my heart that my family is participating, too. We'll be having a dinner afterwards. I ordered new dresses for both of us, too, and NEITHER has arrived yet. I'm trying not to sweat that fact & just trusting that God will deliver them by tomorrow.
