Also, interestingly, the pastor talked quite a bit about how allowing open and unrepentant sin in a congregation in order to spare people's feelings is not loving. In fact, he said that holding people accountable should have some sting, like heat burns a hand over a flame, the pain's message saves the whole hand from being destroyed. It was certainly something to think about given the situation with my in-laws.

Still can't shake the sadness and homesick feeling though. But I am glad we found this church, it was a bright spot in my day.
Happy you found a church home life is so much better when you are with a group of fellow followers of Christ

One of the ladies at church says she's ALWAYS amazed that we are 1 of the families that drive so far but we are ALWAYS there on Sunday mornings It just make the week go by faster when you have something to look foreward too

Yep... its good to finally have a church to go to. Makes me feel less isolated out here.

So what is everyone up to today? And how was everyone's Sunday?

Grocery shopping is a date for DH and I! DS is with us, but it is one of the few things that gets us out of the house. I am weird and I love grocery shopping! I would go every day if I could!

Yesterday was a blah day. I did nothing and was argumentative, guess I better apologize for that today sometime.

Today is a lazy day, we haven't done much, we never really do. It's chilly.

Yay for a new church home Polly!

I despise grocery shopping. Lucky for me, my mom and I share shopping. =) I just need a better attitude.

I pulled out the play dough today and was reminded why I HATE playdough.

Hi Everyone! Oh my gosh, I need a vacation to recover from this past holiday weekend! Lots happened... Im getting a new SIL my BIL proposed (exactly the same way dh proposed to me... but hey thats a different story) on Thanksgiving and she said yes... So now its time for me to be a big girl and get to know her more... (tough for me because she is an obgyn... and im a homebirthing mama... so yeah... we both need to put on our big girl panties and find other things to bond over... maybe chocolate)! She's a good match for him though so thats exciting!

    HEIDI... Those Turkey's are ADORABLE!!!

We managed to get our tree up so Tristyn is beyond excited! And our church does a big production called "Streets of Bethleham" where our parking lot turns into Bethleham and you sort of walk through the christmas story, its pretty cool, we get almost 50-60 thousand visitors and Kaelyn is baby Jesus this year, so Im excited!

    I love grocery shopping. lol

Heidi - sheesh, lets work on having a better attitude together, k? I can not seem to get past this depression that keeps hovering. It hasn't fully landed, but I can feel it just waiting. I'm trying to stay positive, but man its tough!

Here is a pic of Tristyn from 2007. The really cool thing for us is that my dh was the baby Jesus 31 years ago at this same church!

oh and thats not me and dh as mary and joseph...

Heidi, I'll join you in the dispise grocery shopping club! I hate it! I only go because it gets everyone (well me and the girls) out of the house, otherwise I'd be shopping online with Safeway.com!

I hope it clears up for you soon. I've had to give Haleigh just a bit of formula cuz she's so distracted by her brother and every once in a while just won't eat. So I'll pump and top it off with like 2 oz of formula. It's not the end of the world.

Yay! Im glad you were able to spend it with your family this year.

I feel bad that everything is going the way it is for us here in NC. Like you, my husband has not spent a holiday with his family since he moved to CA to be with me in 2006.

I'm not a fan of Felis Navidad either. Maybe because it brings back memories of when our Spanish teachers made us miss half our lunch in 8th or 9th grade to practice singing the song?

I'm sorry AF showed up. That's no fun. Still no sign of her for me. I'm enjoying it while I can!

As for Christmas songs, my least favorite at the moment is "Last Christmas". I think every artist on the planet has remade it and it gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day... except its only the first two lines of the chorus over and over and over... ugh! Plus I can't figure out whether she goes back to the jerk who broke her heart or not.

Last Christmas is so annoying.. I'm not a big fan of George Michael and that's the only version I ever hear.

Sorry I randomly pop in LOL...

Soooo... I joined Michael Bubles fan club LOL.. so I could get pre sale concert tickets (It was only 29.99 but I still feel like such a nerd).. so anyways I go to get the pre sale tickets today at 10 and the site is completely busy and it won't let me get them. Then I looked on ticketmaster to see how much they were.. and each ticket is $150??! I'm so mad.. Im def not paying 300 for two tickets. So now I have a membership to a fan club like I'm in 7th grade LOL.. Oh well

its flurrying right now!!!! and its soo cold and I still haven't gotten a new winter jacket yet..

    Anyways Happy December everyone!!!

I am so out of touch with current stuff... lol. I didn't know who Michael Bubles was! I had to look him up. hahaha I looked up the "I just haven't met you yet" music video. Very catchy tune. He looks like the guy from Grey's Anatomy... Justin Chambers
