Sounds like you all had a busy weekend. We were at the basketball tournament and we won Sunday. That advances us to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16. I will be taking off work early tomorrow to attend it and am soooo excited .

This weekend was good. I had my baby shower and we bought new car seats for the boys. Please pray for me ladies. I have 2 days of lots of driving and I am very nervous. I am excited because I am going to see my cousin and going shopping with my friend. But I am just super scared about getting into another accident.
Yeah I imagine that would be scary!!! Praying God will guide your path and make it safe. New car seats are always nice.

Some mild light-headedness and sore boobs. I've never had sore boobs as a preggo symptom and it's weird! I expect the nausea to start up in a week or so.

    Thanks.

I probably won't feel ok until I hear the heartbeat and hold the baby in my arms. I had tons of symptoms with the blighted ovum even though the baby had been long gone. Since the placenta kept growing, it kept sending out the hormones, making me feel pregnant.

I'm trying not to worry. I'm trying to be hopeful.

Ahhhh NC Senate Bill 31 comes up for vote this week. That would make my midwife a felon if she practices midwifery in this state. Right now she is not considered a felon. The medical lobbyist have tried to push this through in the past and it has failed. Now they are trying again. AHHHHH.....It's making me so mad. Looks like it wouldn't take effect until Dec 2011 but still..I LOVE my midwife and women need to right to be able to have quality healthcare for homebirths. This would greatly impact many many moms in this state. I know the Lord is in control. Just pray for His will and if His will is that this bill would die that it would!

The other bill that would license CPM's just got sponsored but isn't up for vote yet.

The same thing happened with me. And I heard (second hand, so who knows) that the inlaws I was living with thought I was making up my symptoms because they heard the ovum never formed into a baby. I guess its just ignorance and I shouldn't take it personally, but it still kind of stings.

Anyway, sorry, not meaning to take the focus off you. Just saying I understand.

    Praying like crazy for you!

Today, overall, was an awesome day. We went to look at the duplex. Neither of us fell in love with it. It was alright. But the property manager that showed it to us was awesome! She said she will go through the current listings and see if anything else matches what we are looking for. I feel more at peace with waiting and am grateful to have met someone who can help us navigate our search when the time is right.

Then DH went to his part time job, which he is LOVING. It is awesome to see him excited to go to work. Then I went to my job, which was alright, until I drove him home and what should have taken 15 minutes took an HOUR. An HOUR of him touching buttons and opening the glove compartment and messing with the radio and the stick shift, etc... AHHHHH!

But then DH surprised me by taking me to Starbucks and we sat in their meeting type room and let Lily run around while we chatting about theology for 2 hours over chai and a latte. Its been so long since we've done that. It was awesome!

Yay for long chats and Starbucks! My drive today went amazing! It was raining really hard and I drove like an old lady, but we got home in 1 piece! It was great to see my cousin. He is visiting my grandpa on his spring break.

I can't believe your inlaws would say stuff like that.

    Thanks for your prayers!

Polly, Thats great that the Lord gave you peace on this duplex. Thankfully it's a buyers market so you have plenty of options right now! And yay for startbucks.

So we try to keep a good emergency stash of food and other stuff on hand, this whole Japan thing has had me rotating and just checking out what I need to update (we're not crazy... lol) Anyway I had some killer coupons for canned food and bought like 60$ in just cans, and Tristyn asked... So we just told her we save food for emergencies... and she said, "Oh ok, well can we get some extra Max and Ruby movies and Micky Mouse Clubhouse for an emergency" haha leave it to my couch potato!

Brenda - Hope you are having a fabulous time! Can't wait to hear all about it. What area did you go to? We are thinking of camping at Hanging Rock in a few weeks.

Mary - Eeks! I'm glad he is ok. Yeah, I have a feeling your two boys are going to keep you on your toes!

    How is everyone's Sunday going?

Mine has been eventful. lol When I arrived to church they were evacuating the building! Someone ran over a gas line and busted it, so the last part of 1st service was evacuated and those of us at second service had to find somewhere to hang out for a while, while the firetrucks and police, etc., made their way in.

But, thankfully, God decided our building needed to stay for a while longer. And 2nd service started only 10 minutes late, with everyone safe and buzzing about all the craziness.

Also, after service my friend CJ's parents handed me an envelope with a card in it. CJ is a student interpreter and has been such a blessing when I interpret. He is my "support team" who feeds me signs when I draw a blank, and is an extra set of ears if I miss something. Since I started attending I have really been trying to encourage him to be more involved in our ministry 'cause he is a bit shy and he has really stepped up. He will be up interpreting with me soon.

Anyway... so his parents handed me this card and told me "If you need more let us know." Wha?? So I opened it, and they had just out of the blue given me $100 toward the cost of my upcoming interpreter certification test!! On top of that, CJ is taking the same test on the same day, and they are going up with him to support him, so they offered to watch Lily for me while I take my test.

I just feel overwhelmed by the love and support. I my new church family!
