I LOVE more formal services. Not the mindless chanting (sorry to any Catholics - my dad's whole family is Catholic so I HAVE been many a-mass) but the classic songs from hymnals are my favorites and I would rather read prayers together as a group than have the paster do ALL the talking (that's what our contemporary services are like). Just curious, what was the difference between a collection bag and a joy box? Besides the name? Glad at least the interim went back to how the church had been doing it. Maybe he was still kind of new your first time back and no one had told him yet, this is how we do this service?
