Hi girls! I haven't logged on in a few days. DH went to Florida for business on Monday and took the laptop with him and got back today...so here I am!
This week has been busy at work. I absolutely love my job, but sometimes I feel like I should be making $500 an hour with everything going on sometimes! On days like today, I feel useless when I get home. However, I still make a decent dinner, spend time playing/reading books with DS, give him a bath and then sit down while DH does the dishes and cleans the kitchen. I will be thankful for the break when we move...if that doesn't tell you how crazy things are! ha!
But, God is still good!
How is everyone doing as far as Hurricane Irene is concerned? We are in the Boston area and will be getting hit, but less of a category. Prayers go out to anyone in it's path!

We like "E" ending names at my house...hence the Dee Dee, Charlie, Keonte' (although it is pronounced Kee On Ta) but his middle name is Zee, Chyree and Kenedee so, I am gonna have to vote for a girl too
Amanda, I am so excited for you! Thrilled to see good weights and baby head down!
We are in Texas and suffering the worst drought in 50 years, I soooo wish we could have some of the moisture Irene is bringing to the East coast!

Hi Jenn! Welcome back! You sound busy! Just reading your post made me tired. Or maybe because its 12 am. Probably both. lol
We went out as a family tonight. We don't get to do that often, so it was really nice.We went to Red Robin. Amanda I thought of you.

Were are pretty far inland but we'll still see rain and wind. If it make more of a western path then we could have hurricane gusts and a lot of rain and flooding. So far it appears to stay more of a threat to the coast. But our county is on the boarder of the flooding warning so we are being cautious. We stocked up on water, non perishable items and some of those gerber milkshakes with vitamins and minerals for Isaiah if the power goes out and we can't give him milk. and propane tanks for the grill (if the power goes out we'll cook all of the meat on the grill) and gas for the chainsaw. Gased up our cars and we'll be putting the lawn furniture against the house. We also stocked up on movies because we'll be planning to stay in all day saturday when the storm hits. Hopefully it will not be bad but the coast is going to get a beating. We rented a beach house for next month and we hope it's still there LOL.
Polly I thought about you because the walmart around our corner is almost out of water. You may want to try to pick some up just in case because your prego!!. They have it for 78 C a gallon.

Thanks!
We have about 5 gallons in our pantry and a 12 pack of gatoraide. Do you think that should be enough?
I was wondering about the power going off. I was going to buy an oil lamp at Walmart, but they were out of oil. Hoping if the power does go out, we have enough candles to last.
We have an almost full tank of propane, so we should be good there.
It's looking like it'll be more of a tropical storm by the time it gets here. I was planning to go to Cape Cod this weekend, but I'll wait until Monday to see how things look. If not a lot of damage/power outages, then I will go down Monday and Tuesday...I've taken the days off anyway. Would LOVE to have some fun in the sun...but who knows how it'll turn out.
Would love to ask for prayer for a friend of mine. Her DH is deployed for 6 months and she is a full time working mom with twin girls who are a day younger than my DS (2 yrs old). It's really tough, to say the least and she could really use some God-given strength to get through the next 4 months. I try to give her a break when I can and watch the kiddos while she has "me" time and also we eat several dinners a week together. Deployments are NOT easy for anyone involved! We all have to stick together, for sure.
Thanks ladies!

FUNNY Polly![]()
Hey ladies. Micah is now laughing!!! It's soooooo cute. He turned 3 months on Wednesday and on Thursday let out his first belly laugh. If I act like i;m going to tickle him he'll laugh soooo sweet. LOVE IT!!!! He's no longer a newborn he doesn't even look like one anymore. He's getting rounder like a baby now. So alert and happy. He also sleeps from 9:30-4:30 and then from 4:30-7:30. I think he still needs the 4:30 feeding for this month. He seems pretty hungry at that feeding and I think 7-8 hours is long enough for a BF baby right now. So i'm happy. He's becoming such a joy. I had a really rough newborn 6-8 weeks with him. He was soooooo colicky and sensitive. If I could label him he's a sensitive baby. He also gets overstimulated easier then Isaiah did. But right around 6 weeks he really started to calm down and around 8 weeks started to become alert and have long happy alert times. Now he rarely cries unless he's tired and he's very alert and happy. AND if you ladies can remember my postings he HATED the carseat with a passion. Now he has been able to go up to an hour in the carseat with little crying only some fussing....and if I sit in the back seat with the boys micah doesn't cry at all. He'll even put himself to sleep in the carseat without the paci now. YAY! Progress..........If I have to go across town he may be fussy for 15 minutes but i'll take that over all out screaming and crying for the WHOLE entire trip! PRAISE the LORD for giving me patience. I've learned a lot about myself through Micah.
We'll off to church in 30 minutes. I still need a shower. LOL...
Chat later...love you ladies.

Yesterday I was talking with a friend who is really going through a rough time. It reminds me a lot of what we went through when we first moved to NC. She was telling me that she is in a "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief" sort of place. It made me think of the song "I Have To Believe" by Rita Springer. Its about God's power in the dark times in our lives, and it has that line in it. I know she loves that song, and I said a quick praying along the lines of "Lord, if we could sing that song for her this Sunday, it would be awesome."
And guess what? He answered my little prayer. Its not a song we sing very often. Once every few months. So I know it was a God thing. She was bawling through it. I was... by the grace of God, NOT bawling through it (since I was in front interpreting it), but I sure felt like it!
I love the way God ministers to our hearts when we need it most.![]()
