Going great. I'm going to get ready now to go work out. Motivation needed here because AF showed and I'm exhausted. I know working out will help me feel better though so off the computer I go. LOL
I'll chat a little more later. I go pay off our 5 year anniversary cruise next week. Two months and we'll be in Bermuda (hopefully TTC at the same time)!!!!!

I'm so tired of stressing out about money. Seriously. Our truck is on almost empty. I don't even know if he has enough to make it to work and back tomorrow. We have zero money right now. We cashed in our jar of change to get a gallon of milk yesterday.
KC was doing some contract work for a cable company. We thought he would get paid Friday. Turns out they were supposed to mail it on Friday, but they mailed it on Monday. We still don't have it.
The only thing I can think of is that KC helped our landlord with the AC in his motor home and he said he would take $50 off our next months rent. I guess we could ask him for cash instead? I just HATE doing that. Ugh.
I know that things are going to be better soon. KC finally has a steady job and he gets his first check July 1st. Its just SO difficult trying to get caught up and back on our feet. I've stressed out about money before, but I've never had it so extreme.
Sorry. Had to vent.
Polly. Dave snagged the book, "Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey this morning. I'm going to hate it, but I feel some good changes are in store.

I'm praying for you Polly. I wish you lived closer - I would fill up your truck and have you guys over for a yummy grilled dinner in a heartbeat
Asking your landlord for payment for the AC fix is at least a viable option - it is something you are owed money for and you might as well cash in on it!
Thanks girls. We will get through somehow.
Jenn - I appreciate that.
Its hard to do a money make-over when you have ZERO money to work with. lol Once we actually get some money I'll have to look into that. Maybe we can be Money Makeover partners! lol Keep each other motivated and accountable!
But KC found out today that the company he works for now allows them to work an extra day, or day an a half of overtime when its available (which it always is in the summertime). That will help a lot. They also give up to $700 a month in bonuses for meeting quotas and getting extra work done. Things are going to get better... its just hard in the mean time.
polly, praying that check shows up asap.
Mary, I can't say enough good stuff about the Dave Ramsey stuff! It was an OUCH at first, but oh my goodness, its helped out both of us so much! If your chuch offers the financial peace university class its even better then just reading the book by itself... but the book is great too!
I know.I was just meaning that I would like to do the Total Money Makeover also, or something similar. Can't do it now though. lol If we were standing face to face talking we both would have made perfect sense.

God has taken care of our needs. Our landlord not only gave us the money, but doubled the amount he said he would pay us!
That's awesome Polly!![]()
I love Dave Ramsey too.![]()

Last night DH & I were watching tv & a Victoria Secrets commercial came on. ..DH actually looked away & focused on Caleb until it was over. It was so sweet & totally not expect.I know y'all would understand why it meant so much to me

Yay Polly! Praise God!
Polly~Praise God! He is always faithful
Bekah (I know your name now) Praise God for victories. It's so important to celebrate them no matter how big or small they may be. They help us to focus on the good which God wants us to instead of the bad which the enemy wants us to. Happy for you

Beloved, if God has loved us so we also ought to love one another. ~1 John 4:11
That is AWESOME!!! Isn't it great to see the Lord work in someone's heart. My hubby does the same thing. In fact he'll turn the TV off or to another channel. We have Sky Angel so it helps to have filtered TV and we don't get a lot of that garbage comming in anyway!
Hi...I'm just trying to catch up here. Polly stay strong! God will provide for your DAILY needs right now. Even if it's just bread and milk. You will not go hungry! You may need to stay at home until you get enough money for gas. But you'll have your needs met. Roof, clothing, food. When DH has down periods that's what I focus on. Our day to day needs...not when is he going to get paid next. It helps me to really just go through and count our blessings during the days. Especially the days right before DH gets paid when were getting low. Oh I thought about you with this. We sometimes get our food from Angel Food Ministries. It may help your grocery budget to purchase some food through that. Just as an FYI
Oh on a positive note ladies my workout instructor came to me and told me that she had been watching me in class and that my moves and technique are right on. She said i'd make a great instructor and I should really think about it. After talking to DH it is something I am really thinking about going for once we are done with having kids. Like maybe something to do to bring in extra money. Most of the women work one class a day. DH is ALL for it. He knows that I love to work out and he thinks that doing a job that I already love to do would be great. So i'm really thinking hard on this. It wont be for a few years but i'll keep working out then go through some instructor training for a year.
Sorry this turned into a book. I'm in a chatty mood this AM

That's cool.
One another positive note, the Lord is blessing us with another new (to us) car! It belongs to the mother of a co-worker of my step-mom's. Did you follow that? The mother is going into a nursing home and they need to get rid of her car. And not only that, but my dad and step-mom are paying 1/2 of it for us.
Now Tim will have a reliable car to drive to work!
Brenda, that sounds like a fun job (down the road)! Great way to stay in shape too!
Amanda, Yay for new to you car!!!
So Im in a wierd spot and I feel like God is watching to see how I will react... I have this difficult friend, I've sort of distanced myself from... but her life is upside down right now and she asked if she could come to church with me this weekend... So thats awesome, shes not a christian... but shes a challange... so part of me isn't thrilled, but on the other hand I don't know of anything other then God that will help her get her life on track...
Brenda - That sounds like a great opportunity. Your DH is right - Its great to get paid for what you love doing!
I've looked into Angel Food Ministries before, but we didn't even have enough for that. Now that DH has a stable job, we can start looking into it.
Amanda - That's awesome! Yay for reliable vehicles!
Yes. I struggle with this daily, especially lately.I'm getting to the point now where I am just more honest, with myself and God. I'm like "Ok God, I know you know what I'm thinking, I can't hide it from You. I would like to change it, but I'm not ready to right now. Please work on me." I don't know if that's what I *should* be doing, but that's where I'm at.
Anyway, you are not alone in that.
Eek. That's hard. Praying God gives you strength and wisdom, and that you will see Him do a mighty work in her.![]()
Yay for Amanda, Brenda and Bekah for blessings!
I feel like I have a long way to go. I am feeling so frustrated in my marriage, we had our first real "talk" in a month and it didn't go so well. I feel tempted to write here and get encouragement but I hear this little voice in my head saying "Go to the throne, not the phone". I just really need to... let go. I really need God.
