Hi Julie! Good to "see" you again!

Mary - Congrats!! Ugh... when I come back we should start walking again. Not strolling. Real exercise walking!

I am back to prepreg weight, but I didn't gain a whole lot because I was so sick. But I want to loose a lot of regular weight that I can't blame on the baby. lol

Good Job to all of you guys. I should probably be on that diet Julie. I am going to start tracking calories again. I was never able to do it, then I had the jaw surgery and had to do it to make sure I was getting 2000 calories, so I think I can now.

I finally go arch supports and when I use them they help my feet and I can walk. Without them (like now) I can barely stand. So sad. I keep telling myself all kinds of lies.

On a different note, we went to Bethlehem tonight. It wasn't just a live nativity, they ad the church grounds all set up as if it were back in the time of Jesus being born. The kids loved and Luci June exclaimed as we were leaving, "i got a ton of looks at Baby Jesus". She just kept going back to see him. I was bummed that it was a doll and not a live baby. Oh well.

Free Saturday, the kids will be at Santa's workshop and a birthday party from 12:30-6. I need some quiet time to clear my head. I really do.

I am so happy I have Nursery duty tomorrow. The last 2 times I was in the 2-3 year old room. Those little people wear me out. Everytime I teach them I need to take a nap afterwards and it's only for 1 1/2 hours

Better you than me! I really dislike being in the nursery. Thankfully, last Sunday was my last time and I asked not to be put back in the rotation.

In fact, both dh and I are taking breaks from church activities for at least 3 months (except for dh's trustee duties), so no nursery, no small group, and no music team. It'll be a really really nice break for our family and it'll be a time for us to recharge. We'll still be going to church, though.

That'll be nice for you guys. I think you just get burned out with all the running.

I don't mind the nursery or the 2-3 room. But I am not ready to move up to say the pre school level.(3 and older) Even though they are begging every week that they need help. I'm just not ready.

Manda - Yeah, definitely take a break if you need it! What good does it do a church if families are stressed to the breaking point because they are doing too much? Its like the whole Mary Martha thing. If you are running around doing so much that its no longer a joyful service, then its time to take some time out and just sit at Jesus' feet and rest in Him!

So we are moving into DH's brother's house tonight. Be praying for us, if you are willing. That house is a minefield of temptation. We will live there until we move to CA in January.

Went to church today, and once again it was a fantastic sermon. The topic was perfect: "RX for hard times". It really encouraged me. I'm bummed that this was our last time at this church.

I've only been to two Calvary churches, but I really enjoy their approach to teaching. I'm feeling a little torn. We are going back to CA, and I love my church family there, but I am also feeling that I get so much more out of the sermons taught at Calvary Chapel. Hmmmm. Will pray more and ask God's guidance on this.

Anyway... how was you're Sunday, ladies? Tell me something good!

It was good! Tim had off this week as far as music team, so we were able to sit in the sanctuary and worship together. And my sis sat with us, too.

Manda - Awesome! DH used to serve in the sound booth every Sunday. I missed sitting and worshiping together. I can totally understand how nice it must have been to have him back this Sunday!

I have an appointment on the 8th with a dietitian. I can only imagine what she will say to me. Sounds like such fun! There was a live nativity on Sat but I had to work so i missed it.

We missed Church this morning. Abby was still asleep and I didn't want to wake her as she has been extra crabby and easily set off lately and slefishly I don't like the late service that doesn't start until 11:45.

So today was the Christmas parade in my town. I live in a small town and the parade goes right past my house so everyone comes over to watch it. Just as it was coming, I started down my front steps and slipped on the ice (I didn't salt it ) and fell on the right side of my back. It is killing me!! I feel like I'm 90. I took some naproxen but it hurts to lay down. I hate winter!

We missed it today too. I worked third shift last night and Hannah was at my parent's. They normally go but didn't get moving this morning.

You're not alone. I'm snacking on some of the candy Hannah got in the parade.

Hannah fell asleep at 6pm last night b/c she didn't get a nap during the day. I was so excited to have a morning to myself and then the little stinker woke up at 3:30am ready to go! It's 10:40a here and she is still awake!!! I made her go to her playroom and watch TV while I continued to sleep. I didn't get to bed until 12:30 so I only had 3 hours when she woke up!

DS did that to me too!!!! He woke up at 7:30 and I went to bed at 3:30 or so. He is watching Alice while I make a valid attempt at being a coherent NORMAL parent.
