Tell your DH next time to put a warm cloth on the area and sit in a steaming shower for a bit before - it opens the pores. After he's done he should put a cold cloth over top of it to close the pores! Works wonders with those little red, itchy bumps!

Hey Lydia, I just saw your post in the Book Club section. We've both read the Darkfever series! I remember you mentioning the free book/series that you got on your kindle that sucked you in... I've been meaning to ask you which series! I bought Faefever without realizing it was the 3rd book and had to go back and by the others and it really is addicting. Have you read the newest, Dreamfever?

I just had to LOL at that. My DH did the same thing once when Ky and I went out of town for the weekend and he was bored and remembered me saying that he needed a trim down there so he decided to surprise me. He was also surprised by how much bigger it looks without the hair ROFL! He used my trimmer and ruined it since he is soooo hairy that I didn't want to use it anymore and got another so luckily he didn't have any discomfort.

That was it! The first free book I read was the first one in that series, and then I bought all of them including the newest one. I also bought all of the Highlander books that were available, although they weren't as good. And actually, I was just thinking about these books when I was talking about needing a plot in the porn thread. I think these books were partially responsible for this baby.

I'm so glad I have all of them archived now. I am looking forward to possibly re-reading them when the next book comes out, even though she's really good about reminding the reader about events and characters in the past.

The other free books that I've gotten that I've enjoyed are Paranoia by Joseph Finder, although that is not part of a series, and Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. I'll probably get the rest of that series too. Both of those were books I wouldn't have picked up except they were free, and I found myself enjoying things outside of my normal genres. Same with Darkfever.

Another Kindle book I liked, although it cost $, was The Forgotten Garden: A Novel by Kate Morton. I bought her other book after I read that one.

Hmm, maybe I should write a novel, since it seems like I'm doing it all the time anyway. Sorry about the lengthiness.

There you go... You have names. Mackayla or Jericho.

You're really making me want a Kindle, though I doubt my DH would be happy with the book purchases. I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year (you should, too!) and am going to reward myself with a Kindle if I can make the 50,000 words in one month.

Off to check out the other books you listed...

I confess my husband is emptying the dishwasher at 10:40 p.m....I told him it was making Josh roll around in his sleep and he didn't stop, he's just doing it "quieter". Help me...I married a clean freak!

I confess I scrubbed the entire living room floor by hand tonight and my arms are aching! Small price to pay for a clean carpet! (And yeah, I don't want to buy a scrubber, lol.)

I confess DH's dad and mom called tonight and want to come visit after over 2 months of not seeing us or their granddaughter. I was shocked, really. I'm not looking forward to it but at least they are FINALLY making the move.

That is great. I'm sure it will be awkward, but I'm glad they're making an effort too. Let's see if they come as scheduled or if they decide to go to the gym instead. Oh wait, that's my sister.

Really, maybe it will open their eyes to how rapidly she is growing up and changing, and they will realize they should be more in her life.

Congrats on having a clean carpet just in time for visitors!

Oh, the baked goods I'm making are more than a few--
Cookies and brownies and coffeecake too.
I try to resist it. I try! I do!
(Well, maybe that's not entirely true.)

I confess Ronin put his hand on my shirt and said "Soft boobie, squishy boobie, pick up boobie" and tried to give me a little lift.

I like how it says it is a "Resolved" question.

I confess that my brother is really really pissing me off. I know that he is struggling with his own demons but he is so selfish I can hardly stand it. When my mom was physically at her worst with the chemo side effects he'd always say it was too hard for him to see her like that as an excuse to not go see her. Now she's doing better, but still fighting cancer and having treatments and struggling mentally and physically with changes in medications and the roller coaster of diagnosis. Today on my way with the kids to go see her, I texted him to see if he needed a ride and he said, "I can't handle her emotionally right now. I know it's selfish but it is what it is."
I can't even believe this is my sweet kind brother. He's like a shadow of who he used to be. I miss him as much as I want to punch him in the face.
