Hmm... Vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups!

And hot fudge. And walnuts. And whipped cream. And a cherry on top!

I can do that, minus the peanut butter.

Wow, I bought ice cream and hot fudge for the first time in about a year the past week. I think someone in the grocery store laughed at me as I was trying to tell S. that he would probably enjoy hot fudge sauce, since he'd never had it. We had sundaes at home for dessert one night. It was AWESOME!!!!

And wow, I have to say, I'm not sure what I think about being linked with dinosaur porn in someone's mind. Thrilled? Honored? Embarrassed? I have tears in my eyes, literally, after reading that page. I'm not exactly what they're from. But GAH!!!! And I'm totally going to have to tell DH about that. And he's going to disapprove. I know it. And he's not one to be judgmental, but he's pretty proper.

I haven't done anything about birth or death dates either. But I know that a lot of people do, and people should do whatever they want to help them get through the difficult times.

So after reading that article, my first question is ... Where do cavewomen get gold lame bikinis?

    No peanut butter??? Gasp!

Mmm... Ice cream sundaes at home. Yum! I'm not sure I've ever done that, in my whole life. Too much work, hah.

How did I miss something about dinosaur porn??? I may have to go back and find that. Or maybe not.

Yeah... If one of these IUIs had worked, I probably wouldn't be doing anything either. And after this, I may not do anything else. But this year, it's just still so raw, and then with having to accept Maiya as an only child... Yeah, something fun might be good!

But, now I get to plan a stay in Japan! I want to stay a long time. Maybe 3 months. But I'm worried about how Maiya will handle that. One of these days, I think I'll make a post on the main page about how horrible that would be for a 3 year old. Hmm...

Yeah, it does sound like a lot of work. Maybe just some coffee ice cream.

Microwaveable hot fudge sauce! Ice cream! Whip cream! It's so easy!

Ok, Mandy, now we're even. You don't want peanut butter, and no coffee for me!

And that dinosaur porn... Seriously?? Maybe I'm just too logical, but that is so far fetched that all I can do is think "HUH???" Words escape me... Poor dinosaurs!

Tell me, Mandy, how did you happen upon that??

I saw someone link that article from Twitter, with a "huh? This exists?" Comment.

I love that you're shocked by dinosaur porn and homemade sundaes.

Oh, I'm not advocating for it!

I'm with you. I hope no dinosaurs were harmed in the making of these stories.

What can I say, I'm all for equal opportunity shock value. Dinosaur porn. Homemade sundaes. I can't handle it!!

Jennifer, you don't like ice cream?? Man... My poor little world is being shocked today!

But really, I find it funny that I've never done homemade sundaes, presumably because they're too much work, and yet I've made home made ice cream. Because, yeah, THAT's not too much work.

Ice cream is pretty much the perfect food. Except, you know, how bad for you it is.

Calcium and protein.....so it's not that bad! I like it in small amounts....though I still say custard is better. It's just something that doesn't call to me. Now the cold spaghetti in the frig.....THAT is calling me and is hard to resist. LOL

If doing a sundae, I like vanilla with homemade strawberries/sauce.

There are certainly worse desserts. A bag of gummy savers, for example (actually a weakness of mine).

We used to have vanilla ice cream and those packages of frozen raspberries, heated up, poured on top, when I was a kid. That and chocolate pudding and apple crisp were the go-to desserts in our house, but only every once in a while. I think DH had dessert pretty much every night.

You guys are making me hungry now! Again.

I could so go for some gummy anything right now. Maybe on my ice cream?? Oh, the wild ideas.

I don't think we've ever had a go to dessert. Except at my Grandma's house. She always, ALWAYS had those nestle crunch ice cream bars at her house. I always, ALWAYS got one every time I went. Mmm...

This is pretty much how I feel about bacon.

I don't like ice cream either. When we go out for it I do like to get one sample spoonful. Coldstone Creamery has amazing flavors but I just can't eat more than a bite.
I think it's funny you all are concerned for the dinosaurs...what about the women??

LOL I know I am alone on this one. DH has a rule....everything can be improved with either bacon, cheese or chocolate.

Jennifer, your dh's rule is the law at our house.
We have ice cream sundaes pretty frequently at home. In fact, Noe gets a little tiny one almost every day after school. About 1/4 cup of chocolate ice cream or frozen yogurt, a little whipped cream, and sprinkles. What?

Janet, I wish you a very peaceful day today, with joy and comfort, however you choose to spend it.
Next Monday would probably work for the hike! Noe doesn't get out until 3, but if evenings are better anyway maybe it'll work. We can leave right after school and meet you out there. Are you thinking Mt. Diablo, or is there another spot you've been to where you've had good luck?
