I'm sorry for all the sadness and loss.
My main crab story is coming face to face with a very large one on the bottom of the sea during a night dive, so it was unexpected. I couldn't see much, and then all of a sudden there was this gigantic crab right in front of me in the glow of my light. It had all of these things in the front of its face wiggling around, back and forth, moving, which is normal for a crab, I guess, but I'd never seen it that close, that large, and that active. DH was there with me and he was almost as horror-struck. I have not been able to eat crab since then, and that was more than 10 years ago. To this day, he can wiggle his fingers in front of his face and I will know what he's talking about. It looked like Cthulhu. And I'm not normally someone who is much afraid of water creatures. I can pet a shark, no problem.
