They just expect far too much of us at work, and then it's compounded by a sh1tty attitude from almost everyone. I've had people walk back to our area and state flatly that they didn't want to bother with the helpdesk email because they didn't know how long it would take to hear from someone. Another person came marching back and demanded to know how long she should expect to wait because she'd sent in a helpdesk email TWO hours ago!

There weren't crisis situations...they were "I can't print from Adobe Reader" (that one had Adobe Pro and COULD print from that so...?) and someone else that had to walk literally 10 paces further because the closer printer wouldn't work. Stupid stuff. And they're getting bent out of shape about it.
Did you give up on coming to NY Mandy? Whatever happened to that?
