I tend to give money/water/food to the panhandlers - with jojo I usually have something. I feel that it is important to acknowledge their human-ness in a way. Even the pros, of which we have a lot because it doesn't usually get too cold here. Though two years ago one homeless person froze to death outside of a church. I'm very much aware of how lucky I am and so I feel okay about giving money.
