Let's see... Jamie Bamber - the younger Adama is a London cop now.

And Tricia Helfer (aka Sexy Toaster) was on Burn Notice for half the season awhile back. Boomer (whom DH and I will forever refer to as The Weakest Model) is now on Hawaii Five O. Sam played a cop for a couple episodes of Castle. Starbuck was even a cop for a couple of episodes on CSI. Basically, with the exception of the sexy one, they've all gone on to play law enforcement.

They are planning some kind of BSG prequel called Blood and Chrome. Not sure if it's a just a 2 hour special or an entire series yet. Takes place during the cylon war and supposedly more like BSG than Caprica was (which we have yet to finish watching though it's waiting on the DVR).

The actress who played Tori was recently on V.....as a visitor in disguise! Also last season Sam Anders was briefly on that series.

We couldn't get into Caprica. After 3 episodes and that Cylon with the teenage girl's voice, we stopped. Is it worth a 2nd chance?

Speaking of TV, I finally bit the bullet and started watching Mad Men on DVD while I work. It's really good, as far as it being character driven and vintagey, and it's more dark than I expected. I'm not done w/ Season 1 yet (it's taken me 2 months to get that far), but it seems like women's liberation is going to be a big theme for the series. Does anyone else watch it?

Well Caprica never did really take off. I liked it but DH was very eh on it. It's been canceled but I still have the last 8 episodes to finish.

Mad Men isn't one I have tried yet....I have a few too many shows right now! LOL

Hmm, maybe I'll start watching Mad Men streaming on Netflix. Thanks for the suggestion. We've been watching Parks & Rec, and enjoying it. We sometimes need to watch something very easy that can be frequently interrupted.

I know, right? Don Draper is totally dreamy, but such a cad! LOL.

Lydia, if you do start watching Mad Men, be prepared for it the storyline to sag a little bit in episode 2 & 3. A few of my friends abandoned the whole series because they thought those episodes were too boring. On another note, was that pic in your siggy taken at Lake Temescal? Bodhi loved it there! Ran around naked all afternoon! Here's a pic taken there from last summer:

We watch goofy things mostly. The Soup, Spartacus, I watch Dexter when it's on, Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen--getting sick of those two though.
I started watching American Idol. I was scared because I thought it was so bad last season. But it's not as bad this year. It's nice not having so much negativity.

I'm missing American Idol because Fox (in my area) and Directv are at odds and can't agree to split the profits-they each want the lion's share. So that leaves us subscribers with no Fox tv. Normally, I wouldn't care but American Idol is like the one show I do make an attempt to watch. This is my first season without it. Boo.

American Idol is the only show I watch regularly. It's much better this season than it was last.

I must have missed that one. I usually fast forward if it looks like they're going to be terrible. I get so embarrassed for them.

I heard a clip of that in car on my way to work this morning!! As well as the 16-year-old with the awesomely deep voice that did a great country song. I'm really getting upset that I'm missing this season. In a lot of ways the auditions are my favorite part.

Does anyone know if I can stream it online the following day somewhere?

You should be able to, Chrissy.
I loved the 16 year old who did Josh Turner, too. I love Josh Turner. He makes me feel all melty (it's no coincidence my son has the same name...Shhh )

It was! Good eye! We spent about 8 hours there in several trips over the past weekend, while it was nice and Justin was out of town. Soren got his first taste of sand and the twins came home tired and soggy and happy every day. Are you sure you want to move to the fog zone?

That picture of Bodhi is soooo awesome!

LOL! I'm just surprised he doesn't share a name with a New Kid... unless he does, as I'm sadly unable to name all the New Kids - and don't know Josh's middle name!

I like Josh Turner, too. One of the few country albums I've ever bought.

But I have to say Joshua and Joseph are two very great names, even without the special meanings for me

I really wasn't even thinking of NKOTB at the time...it was before their reunion and everything, so I really did like the name.
But Joshua...when I was very pregnant, and really uncomfortable, Josh Turner's music and videos always made me smile. So it was kind of in honor of that.

When I was briefly pregnant I suggested to DH that I name a boy John Paul ... because my dad is John, my brother is Paul, and the name would also be shared by two Beatles and one member of Led Zeppelin! But DH shot that down VERY quickly.

I kind of like it, though!

We're probably going to name a boy (should we ever have a child) Alexander Francis. Alexander because we like it (and for Alexander the Great - that would be DH's choice) and Francis because it's DH's deceased dad's first name and my dad's middle name. Don't like the name, but it was a way to honor both sides of the family, and also talk DH out of using the same initials which are shared by DH, his brother, and his nephew. DH was absolutely determined to carry on that silly tradition. I hate when kids all have names that start with the same initials, and I refuse to allow my MIL who I don't like dictate what names I use. I was able to get DH to compromise by suggesting Francis for a middle name. I actually think it's a nice combination even though I don't care for the name on its own.

I think that is a nice combination, and people hardly ever use their middle names anyway.
