That was it! The first free book I read was the first one in that series, and then I bought all of them including the newest one. I also bought all of the Highlander books that were available, although they weren't as good. And actually, I was just thinking about these books when I was talking about needing a plot in the porn thread.
I think these books were partially responsible for this baby.
I'm so glad I have all of them archived now. I am looking forward to possibly re-reading them when the next book comes out, even though she's really good about reminding the reader about events and characters in the past.
The other free books that I've gotten that I've enjoyed are
Paranoia by Joseph Finder, although that is not part of a series, and
Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. I'll probably get the rest of that series too. Both of those were books I wouldn't have picked up except they were free, and I found myself enjoying things outside of my normal genres. Same with
Darkfever.
Another Kindle book I liked, although it cost $, was
The Forgotten Garden: A Novel by Kate Morton. I bought her other book after I read that one.
Hmm, maybe I should write a novel, since it seems like I'm doing it all the time anyway. Sorry about the lengthiness.
