I confess this was too funny NOT to share --

Audrianna and I were playin on the bed, and she let out a really wet sounding fart (I wasn't sure if it was a fart or liquid poops..) and I made a face, and said "ewww! You're gross!" and she started laughing. That made me laugh, which made her laugh even more..

Then a few minutes later she let another one, and looked at me and started laughing again - before I even said anything. She ended up laughing so hard at her own fart that she fell over!!

I confess that I spent several years very involved in the SCA. I loved it. It's a historical re-creation society for Medieval times, kind of like the people who do Civil War re-creations. My dh still teases me about it, because it's also known for attracting a lot of nerds (as opposed to geeks). I made all of my own garb, I apprenticed to someone, I had armor and fought in wars, I drank mead and learned to sing a lot of Medieval songs, and generally had a really good time. I spent all of my spare time and money on this hobby.

We used to go to Ren Faires dressed up and notice all the historical inaccuracies.

I just gave away the last box of clothes that I'd made--beautiful cloaks and cotehardies and bodices and chemises. I advertised it on Craigslist and got a dozen takers within the first two hours.

I sometimes think about how very important that group was to me for a long time, and how I am not involved at all anymore. I don't really miss it, but I reminisce about it.

    ------------------------------
Baby farts ARE funny. And isn't it so cool when babies start developing a sense of humor? I love seeing what can make them laugh.
    I can't believe you're 37 weeks already, too.
    -------------------------------
I've just spent a few minutes trying to find the actual word for this, but I wasn't successful. Maybe someone else knows. Anyway, if you have incriminating or embarrassing stuff at your house you don't want relatives to see, you have to enlist a friend to be your clean-up person. If you die, your friend instantly goes over to your house and removes all the porn, etc. I think the term dates back to the Civil War at least, when compatriots would remove the decks of cards from the pockets of fallen soldiers so their moms wouldn't know they'd been gambling.

Sorry, don't know how to quote just that one paragraph.
GREAT IDEA! I've never thought about that! I'd have to have my brother do it for me. LOL

Lydia! All that stuff you used to do is so neat. I can't believe I didn't even think to dress up with Josh. I wish I'd known you did that kind of stuff--I would have bought a dress off you. Of course they had tons of it at the faire but I couldn't very well try stuff on with Josh with me.
I was never into the scene like you were but just the whole feel of it, and the people I knew who did it were very cool and I guess it sort of embodies a whole period of my life when I found something I was attracted to and I went with what I thought was more sensible at the time. Anyway, blah blah blah.
I looked for that word for you, but I couldn't find it either. Nice idea though!

Ok I was going to let this one go, but I just cannot...
I confess I talked to Donnie Wahlberg of NKOTB on yahoo messenger last night. He has an "alter ego" that he likes to use. Sort of an alias I guess. It's a whole other character who pretends to know nothing about Donnie, it's pretty funny. This alter ego posted on twitter that he was chatting with people on yahoo messenger so I thought what the heck I will say hi. Like he's gonna say anything to me, he's probably talking to hundreds of girls. OMG he replied! Ahhh! We talked for a couple minutes and then he stopped replying so I figured he had too many girls talking to him LOL But wow that made my day, and possibly will keep me going for the next few years.

Lydia, that's so cool that you made your own costumes! I used to have some garb but I bought it so it's not that cool. It's probably still around here somewhere in a box. I had a lot of friends who were in an offshoot of the SCA that they all swore was much cooler. I never joined, but one of my friends was a very skilled dressmaker and I was just amazed at the stuff she made.

Kate, I'll be your farmville friend! I'll PM you. And how exciting for you to chat with your favorite celeb!

I confess I'm going to see It Might Get Loud this afternoon and I'm far too excited about it. Like, embarrassingly excited.

I confess I just remembered about when my cousin passed away and we helped sort through her stuff. I remember somebody saying something like, "I didn't know she had Oklahoma on DVD!" I turned to one of my aunts and said I just didn't want people going through my stuff after I died and commenting on it. It's just a really creepy thought to me, even if it's something silly but slightly embarrassing like that. She felt the same way.

I confess that all of the big stuff is out and the necessities for the week. We are going to start staying at the new place tonight and will come back next weekend for the rest.

I also confess that the new owners of our cats just came and picked them up. It's pretty bitter sweet. While I will definitely miss them, I had been on the fence about getting rid of them for a while. I just got SO tired of them tearing up my couches (I couldn't bring myself to declaw them) and I was definitely over the cat hair. So, bye bye kitties! At least we got to find them a good home instead of having to go the shelter route.

I confess that you shall have no fear, the internet is already hooked up at the new place so you don't have to live without me for a week.

Get Jimi to rub your temples and the all over your head for you. It's the ONLY thing that helps mine - both before and during pregnancy. ESPECIALLY during pregnancy. Pitch black, no noise, and temple rubbing is seriously the best thing ever.

I wish Rin was here. I'm now reading the latest Outlander book and I know she's got to be also. Kim, I know you love them too. Have you gotten it yet?

I confess I've been MIA. It's gotten really crazy over here and I've not been "into" APA for some reason the last week-ish.

I confess DH and I have found a church we really like. It's everything I think we've been looking for. . .even for those of us who aren't completely sure we know what we believe. They do so many good things in the community. . .and have an amazing history here. It's a community I think I fit in well with. It's wacky. And I love it.

So. . .I confess that we're joining a church. Not a big deal, except I am being baptized. Madi too. I may share more, but I can't quite believe these words are coming out of my fingers right now and I'm going to go meditate on this for awhile.

I know she has it, but I don't think she's started. She wanted to read the books before it to refresh her memory. I can't believe I haven't started it, but I'm right in the middle of a series. I've been waiting years for this book!

Oh I definitely want to re-read the series again. I started them again a few months ago but got stuck on A Fiery Cross once again. That book's plot is so slow and wanders in so many different directions. Maybe I'll just read Breath again....

Yes, I posted in the Books section, but I might as well repeat myself here. I regret not re-reading at least the most recent one before I started this one. I only discovered the series after the babies were born, and I read them all within a month or two, while breastfeeding. I was so happy about them! Anyway, I thought I'd read them recently enough that I'd be caught up.

NO! Not true! I've read so many books between then and now, and perhaps I've developed some Mommy brain, that I can't remember what certain characters have done, what roles they've played, or even who they are! It's really annoying. I am wishing the book had a glossary or cast of characters or something. I think I'm just going to keep reading and hope context fills me in.

    I have, too!

What series are you reading, may I ask? I'm always in the market for something good. Having the Kindle has expanded my horizons, because I keep buying the free books even if they're not what I would normally read, and then I love them. The good (or bad) thing is most of the free books are the first in a series. So then I get to/have to buy the rest of them.

    It's nice to see you!

I confess I just went to the gym for one of my free personal trainer appointments and I almost cried when I was talking to her about the problems I've been having. I am just so fed up with being overweight, not being able to control my eating and not being able to get into a routine at the gym. I am so sick of myself being like this! But I just cannot stop myself. It's awful.
