I confess I was ecstatic to find this cake. I kept seeing Pirates of the Caribbean theme cakes, and I didn't like them. I was looking for a generic piratey type cake and just stumbled across this one. The only disadvantage is they said there's not really room to write on it, but we'll put a banner or something (I figure it's all for the adults anyway, right?

Oh yeah I also confess I am wasting another morning waiting for a strange man to come to my house. The plumber this time. I broke down and called him at 10:30 and he first of all didn't rememember who I was since yesterday. After I said I was expecting his call he said "Oh yeah, uh, do you know what time it is now? I was gonna call you in a little while. Uh, when can you be around?" Uh, all morning, like I said yesterday! So he said "Uh, it should probably be in under an hour" Great so he will be here at 11:30 after I already told him my son sleeps from 12-3. I hope he gets in and out. He's just giving an estimate today anyway. But Grr!

the number 9 is special for a few reasons. One I can't remember if it's Chinese or Japanese but it's lucky in one of those cultures. the word for 9 is similar to the word "everlasting", so a lot of people got married on 9/9/09.
Plus did you know that any number times 9 adds up to 9? 9 x 2 = 18 1+8 = 9
