Me either. It's because he snores and we havent' had the $$ to get him a sleep study which would hopefully get him a CPAP machine. I confess I think losing 30 lbs would help, too.

I would think it would bother him but it doesn't, he even lets out little moans in his sleep.
If we were sleeping together, this would result in frequent nookie in my house.

I confess, it's so nice tonight, we're sleeping with all the windows open. I love this weather!

    It shall be done though.

Good note though, in the past month or so I did cut back from about 30 smokes a day to 7. Not too shabby eh?
You can do it, Janeen. I smoked more than 2 packs a day for almost 20 years and quit four years ago. It sounds cheesy, but a book I read really helped. It boiled down to the fact that the craving is not coming from intelligent and rational Janeen, but the irrational and crazy addiction that lives inside of you - your body is telling your head what to think, but your head CAN say no and you won't DIE without one (which is what it always felt like to me).

In case you are interested, here's the website with more info:

Don't let the cheesy fluff fool you - inside all the marketing talk, the message is incredibly valuable.

Oh, man! I was happy today because it only got to 97 degrees! I really want some cooler temps like that...

I'd never leave my air conditioning! The high today got to 64 degrees, which is unusually cool for this time of year!

I hate it when people ask me when I'm due. Um, October 2007?

I also need to lose about 20 pounds. On Tuesday I plan to purchase some software called Calorie King - I input what I want to lose and by when, and the program tells me my limits and keeps track of my nutrition, etc. Every day I enter what I ate and any exercise I did and the software tells me how many calories I have eaten and how many burned, etc.

I tried it free for a week online and lost about a pound (I hate dieting so I take it slow). It was pretty motivating in terms of exercise (the more you move the more you get to eat!) and also it kept me from eating cookies and other sweet things that I would have had I not had to write them down, kwim?

    Good luck!

Yep, it's pretty much too hot to swim. And summers down here are like winters up north, you just don't go outside.

I confess that DH and I have decided that we're going to buy a mobile home that the owner will carry. It seems like the cheapest, easiest, most convenient and money savvy way to save money and still be able to get more bedrooms etc while I am in school. It won't be right away though as we will need to save for the down payment.

We were planning on renting a house and we want three bedrooms. We really need an office/study space and of course a baby room. DH approached me with the idea of buying a mobile and I told him as long as it's a nice one and not all trailer trashy I am absolutely fine with it. We can live cheap, as in like a couple to a few hundred a month to the owner and then a couple to a few hundred for the space rent, and then when I graduate from school in a couple/few years and am working as a nurse, we can sell it and buy a real house. By that time we will be more than able to since we had a bankruptcy last year and we will be financially set to as well. Apparently this is the route his uncle took with a wife, a kid and a kid on the way while he was in med school. Sounds alright to me!

I confess FIL and sMIL called DH and I downstairs to talk to us, and one of the things they mentioned was that we are "buying too much junk food, and need to stop keeping food in our room"

They said they understand that we buy certain things JUST for us, and that's fine, but they'd prefer we keep it in the kitchen, and just write "Ashley's ________" or "Brandon's ________" because as sMIL says "Food in the bedroom invites bugs"

sBIL has said MANY times "I don't care who's it is... if its in the kitchen, I'll eat it" and he did eat over half of the frozen pizzas we had in the freezer....

Boo to him! Maybe ask em about you getting a little kegerator frig for your room? Would they still think it would attract bugs if you put the food in a frig?

That's irritating. Although, I have tried to convince Mike not to take food back to OUR room. . .he was eating in there with madi and they were making a mess. . .and we have ants, bleh.

Do they know he's eating your food (I assume you're using your funds to buy it)? Could you keep a dorm-sized fridge in your room?

Have you actually HAD an issue with bugs because of food not being in the kitchen? If not...I'd say screw it and keep doing what you've been doing! Your sBIL pisses me off-him and people like him. That's such an entitlement attitude and I cannot stand it!

I confess I miss being on line at home, but with a teething/virus laden little leach of a son, it just ain't happening.

The baby isn't inhaling, but IS getting all the nasty gunk that you take in. I remember that point from the birthing and breastfeeding classes we took. The chemicals and nicotine in cigarettes, if you smoked while pregnant, would hit the baby's bloodstream in under 2 minutes. I was surprised at how fast that is.

Liam's gotten like that with a knee or elbow a couple of times, but rat terrier is almost 10 years old and just LOVES to nipple stomp. That's one of the reasons I wore a bra to bed throughout my pregnancy. The nips were sore to begin with, and being mashed between the bed and a dog foot was enough to make me yelp and cry more than once.

Good luck. I know you can do it! I confess, I had quit completely for almost 6 months, and just recently started up again. If Dean had quit too, I would have stayed quit for good. Or if I had the extra motivator of a pregnancy, I could do it for good.

Lol, I confess that this reminds me of this anti-smoking campaign that was running on the radio around here a year or two ago...it had this song that went

    My name's Cletus the Fetus,
    I'm hooked on nicotine
    'Cause my mom's [something something]
    She's a tobacco queen...

I don't remember the rest, but it was such a silly, catchy tune that even though I hated it I always had to sing along when it came on the radio. While smoking.

I confess half our office is gone today (including boss and vice-boss) and I'm getting pretty much nothing done. I can't seem to concentrate on ANYTHING! Before lunch I seriously must have sat starting at my puter screen for 4-5 minutes trying to remember what it was I was going to do next.

I confess we had a nice sunshiney day today, but it didn't end so great. Travis tripped over my FIL's foot and landed head first on the pavement. He's got a bruise and a small lump the size of a half dollar on his forehead now. I feel so bad for him. My poor baby.

I confess Josh is trying to give the cat orders. "No! Over here! Walk over here! Come!" and of course the cat does not give a crap. and I actually said to Josh "now you know what it's like to get you to do things" I don't think he understood though

I confess DH needs to get to the doctor already and stop *****ing about his leg. I'm done. I'm tried of hearing about the endless pain he's been in for months. YOU CAN FIX IT, STUPID. GO FIX IT ALREADY. I've given him so much sympathy these past few months, but I'm done now. Why should I feel bad for him when he won't do anything to help himself?

I agree! I confess I feel the same way about dbf complaining about his hands not healing from his surgery but still doing things they tell you not to do. He's acts like he's some kind of hero for hauling bricks but I get to hear him whine about it all night.

Poor little guy! He's probably less upset about it, now that it's over, than you are. When we were in Wyoming Claire face-planted onto concrete and bled all over the place and then looked like she had a gigantic herpes lesion on her mouth for all of our trip pictures. After the initial crying, she was totally fine, as she has been for every other injury. I hope Travis feels just as fine, and his marks go away soon so you can stop having the visual reminder.

My babies do that to our cats, too. I think it's so cute!

I tend to lose patience with endless griping also. But I have found in my life that most men are terrible about going to the doctor. My sister gave up trying to ask or coerce her husband and now she just makes appointments for him and tells him when and where he needs to go.

I confess I'm really annoyed with DH right now.

I have been talking for years about wanting to work music therapy into my speech therapy sessions. I have two kids right now who could really benefit from it (one I think is a savant). Today at work my sort-of boss came to observe one of the students and told me he started out as a music therapist. He asked if I played guitar and I told him I was teaching myself. He then offered to show me the types of rhythms and patterns that would work for my kids and said he'd come by at a certain time to work with the kids / teach me.

I am SO excited about this.

The first thing I did when I got home was tell DH and now he is JEALOUS! It's my #$%@ boss ... I'm not trying to have an affair you idiot!

I confess I was told I made the lunch lady cry today.

Nope.. No issue with bugs anywhere in the house, BUT the kitchen actually -- ants. -- and they have been gone for a few months now.

We are still keeping the food in our room -- in the closet now. lol

And today's issue with sBIL -- I found my missing (MU Tigers) re-usable grocery bag. He was using it for his dirty stinky gym clothes!! WTF dude?! Use a plastic bag!!
