Secular Confessions
Too much?
There are a few things that I wanted to 'confess' in Random but didn't really feel comfy doing so since it's not really... neutral.
So let's do a little thread HERE with some ongoing thoughts or confessions.
THIS CAN BE ABOUT ANYTHING. THINK THE RANDOM POST, BUT WITH US SECULAR GIRLS.

You all pretty much know I'm pretty relaxed in the religion department. I don't let much bother me and I think I have a pretty good sense of humor.
Confession: I like Carrie Underwood.
Confession 2: I like the song Jesus Take the Wheel
Confession 3: I do a 'God voice' whenever she says ^ with, "Sorry, I forgot my drivers license.' or 'Sorry, Jesus is taking his lunch right now."
I'm horrible I know.

I confess I witnessed a woman flicking off and obviously cussing out another driver who cut her off. On her back bumper was 'God Listens'. I chortled most of the way home.
I confess I don't talk about religion IRL
I confess I like Jesus take the wheel too! Her voice is so outrageous, it doesn't matter what she sings. I always like it!
I confess when I first joined this site I wouldn't DARE say I didn't believe in the whole religious thing.
lol - I confess, there are quite a few christian bands I like, and songs I listen to....
Sarah Kelly, Rapture Ruckus, and a few others.....

I confess that doesn't seem very "godly" to me!
Confession 1: I work with one other atheist. Well I'm atheist for the most part, I feel agnostic at times.
Confession 2: I want to lie so Sam can get into boy scouts.

I too confess when I first joined APA I couldn't bring myself to flat out say "I don't believe it"
I confess I still haven't said that to my mom, and still go to church with her just to keep her off my back...

You have to swear to God or something or other. There is a thread in the Secular room about it. I asked the one veterinarian who is a Scout Leader and who is christian or what not and he basically said you had to be. I'm still a closet atheist. My mom called me on Good Friday and asked me if I ate meat... I did. I didn't have the heart to tell her, but I should have, but it would have ruined her weekend. I guess she'll figure it out, you know? I told her years ago that I just "wasn't religious" and she flipped, slapped me upside the head and screamed at me that she GAVE ME THAT RELIGION. Or something of the sort.
So? WE SECULARISTS CAN CONFESS TOO!

OY! I can guarantee my mom would cry if I flat out told her Im not religious. I can't stand to see my mom cry, so I just haven't told her....I'm still a closet atheist. Its one reason I am glad we will be living with FIL when we get to KC... He and his wife aren't religious, where as MIL and sFIL are... They leave the house at 7:30 every sunday for church....

I confess I grew up in church, and didn't know what lent was until I was a Junior in high school...I confess that I used to do lent for fun. I needed something to do.
and then the only time I used that knowledge was when I ordered the wrong thing at breakfast, and took it back... I told the lady "Sorry! This is what I usually order, but I gave up beef for lent, and it just totally skipped my mind... Can I get _______ instead??"

Nope, I think it's just late! I'm into this show.
I confess that I have two obese hamsters. They barely fit up the play tubes!
