I didn't know what it was so I looked it up... this is copied and pasted from here http://autism.wikia.com/wiki/Stimming ... sounds like it is mostly usually a symptom of autism but can occur without...
I do it all the time with my kids... I can hear them. I just let them play while I clean up popping my head in every so often to make sure they're not soaking the bathroom, or if I don't hear them...
I think it's fine I leave my son who's 2 1/2 in our fenced in back yard for a few minuets at a time all the time... I always leave the dog out there too so if anyone were to come near the yard I know...
This is how I plan to proceed. My kids are 2 1/2 and 5 and they don't seem to be the least bit concerned about it and really don't even point out the differences much at all either.
That's awesome!
What a great article! Thank you! I had a feeling that picky eating was a least somewhat genetic since my sister and I are so picky as well.
Also I am happy to see I'm not the only one that feeds...
I really like Charles or Charlie a lot.... But trey is kinda cool too. Also FWIW... we never even considered naming Jude after my dh and I was always really against the idea... but for the last two...
Wow your DS1 sounds just like me in terms of food. I also literally gag with mushy food... I can eat pasta if it aldente and has some kind of crunch vegetable in the bite I am taking... but alone no...
Both my kids are insanely picky. I guess I shouldn't be surprised as my sister and I are also very picky, my sister to the point that she needed physical therapy (or maybe it was occupational therapy...
I'm sorry you are going through this and I can very much relate. Jude went through something like that around 26 months, only he was also nursing like a billion time a day!.. I was going totally...
I agree with this as well. Paige can't do all the things you mentioned for going to kindergarten. She went to a Waldorf pre-school... which I absolutely loved.. but unfortunetly we can't send her to...
I'm so sorry for you loss :hugs:. A loss is a loss no matter how far along you were, of course you're counted. I think that it isn't how you should feel... it needs to be how you DO feel... However...
I have one younger sister. For a while growing up I had younger step brother, he was a baby when my mom and ex step dad got together. My step brother had a half brother who was pretty much part of...
Well what we do maybe isn't a traditional timeout but along those lines... I call it calm down time... Basically if I am trying to discipline and it is not working and Paige is getting very upset I...
That is probably the best way to handle it (and I'm also over protective)... Although I doubt either of my kids will be ready by age 5 since they both are very sound sensitive and are freaked out...
While I don't see a problem with a man bringing his daughter into a women's rest room if he is uncomfortable bringing her into a men's room or even if it's an emergency and the men's room is...
Paige just turned 5 and I am just starting to teach her... since she will start kindergarten next year. She wipes pee just fine, but still would prefer I do it since she doesn't think she gets...
Paige is super smart and constantly blows me away with her deep understanding of how things work and her amazing memory (she remembers things as far back a 16 months)... She is so in tuned to...
Thinking about you guys! Hoping they find the problem and that it is not serious!
Checking in for an update! Hoping everything is okay and you have some answers!
Yes I agree with the others to take her in asap. When my daughters bestfriend 18 months she suddenly stopped using her left wrist... at first they said nothing was wrong.. but they persisted and it...
Wish I had some advice! My kids are just like that too, but it's not knew. My daughter has even had the same I can't go back in time to see the dinosaurs breakdown (she's obsessed). Since it is new...
Jude is sleeping in a bed by himself now (he used to co-sleep). We had been dealing with him getting out of bed a bunch until a few days ago. What I started doing for night and naps is standing with...
Okay so this will literally the first time I have ever tried to post a link so if it doesn't work I will just copy and paste the text... but anyway I thought that it was really interesting...

When Paige was younger she we went through something like this.. although she was more like 18 months. She was always visibly very tired. Turned out her iron was low. Another thing that happens with...
