Dentist
Sitting in the waiting room of the dentist, which I am totally terrified of, waiting to be called back. I have two teeth that broke, one that appears to have an infection and the other that hurts when I eat sometimes. I am just afraid they will say something is seriously wrong and I definitely don't want to hurt the baby. Just freaking out here:(

just went through this!!! I went in for a cleaning a a filling 2 days after i found i was prego. The took xrays and double covered me. i got the cleaning and they said i needed a root canal. I was terrified, but my ob signed off and it really wasn't the bad. it's better if you can wait till the second tri, but I got mine done at 6 weeks and baby is looking good! hope you find peace in the situation.

It wasn't as bad as I thought!! The dental aide was great and very gentle. She double me up on the x-rays and did a cleaning. I thought there was a bad infection in the one tooth but the dentist said it had a little of an infection(which he prescribed a low dosage of amoxicillin) and that it would need a root canal. He said the other needed a root canal as well. I found out I have horrible dental insurance though. They only pay $1200 a year and 80% of cost plus a $50 deposit. One root canal would put me over and have me paying over $400. So needless to say, I have to figure out if I will just get one pulled since it is the very back or if I am going to do the root canal on both. I told them I needed to think about it. But it was overall a good visit and they made me feel very comfortable so I will not be afraid to go back:)
