My 6 y/o started reading chapter books before Christmas, and I thought I was going to cry when she finished her first one. She was so proud; I was so proud. It's a great feeling.
Josh is reading too and it's so cool. Of course now you can't spell certain things to keep secrets from them and you have to be careful what they see. LOL
Isn't that just one of those melt your heart moments?
And I hear you on the spelling! Someone mentioned "Should we go to the B-E-A-C-H?" over winter break, and my DD said 'YEAH, we need to go to the beach right now!'"
