No CVS today.....

Hey girls, I went for my CVS today and the placenta was in the wrong place to get a sample, so after getting all worked up, it didn't happen. I had managed to get myself all worked up thinking they weren't going to find a heartbeat. This was partly because I couldn't find a hb with the doppler, until i read on the box it was for 20 weeks + and saw the rubbish reviews on amazon. Anyways, baby is measuring bang on time at 11week +2, and I am rebooked for the roller coaster again next week! Wish me luck.

They also took bloods for the new blood test they have developed to potentially avoid cvs. Although i won't get results from it, my sample will go into a europe wide trial. hopefully by the time shay has his babies, cvs/amnio may be a thing of the past.

I'm sorry you were all worked up and they couldn't do it! Maybe you'll be better next week since you got all your worries out this week.
So glad it was an otherwise good appt and you heard baby's HB! Almost to 12 weeks!!

Ugh! So sorry you have to wait another week.

I am sorry you did not get to get it done. You got all worked up for nothing only to have to go though it again. The best positive of it is that you get to see your bean again. :D
