Slow temp rise...hmmm...
So this cycle, I felt some "O" pains on Friday (on our way up to the cabin for the weekend) and after taking Vitex, finally started seeing some EWCM. DH and I BD'd for days before and after "O" according to FF. Last month (the first month of temping) I had a dramatic temp shift and this month it was a slow rise, but FF is showing my "O" date on Friday. Is a slow temp rise normal? Can I get my BFP with this rise? Hopefully our chances are good seeing as we did not let anything slip by this month! I even used Preseed this month...hoping that would help as well.
Do you ladies think my chart looks good for a BFP? Fingers crossed! After 6 years of trying, I would love this to be our month!
Thanks!

I'm not a charting guru, but I think so long as it stays above cover line you are good. Good luck this month!
-
I'm no good with charting either, but wanted to say good luck!
-
You guys are so sweet! I am hoping this is our month since we BD'd a lot before and after...just covering our basis! If we don't get our BFP this month, then I definatly have another proglem! Thanks for the kind words!
-
Your chart looks great and you are definitely covered BD wise. I hope that this month is it for you!
-
Thanks Jessica! If it doesn't happen this month, don't you guys agree that there is something else wrong?
-
You've only recently started ovulating, right? Even with a perfect cycle your chances of getting pregnant are only 20% at the very most. So no, I don't think not getting pg this cycle means there is something more wrong (of course, it doesn't mean there isn't either). There really are no guarantees, even with treatment.

With this current pregnancy (not viable), I had a slow temp rise for the first few days. Come to think of it, I think it was that way with DS too. One thing for me that was consistent both times was an implantation dip. I don't think that happens for everyone though.
-
Oh, I wanted to mention this even though it sounds hokey. I ate pineapple core for 5 days starting with the day of IUI with DS and the day after O with this one. I've only done the pineapple core thing twice, but I've gotten a BFP both times. Definitely can't hurt, and for me, it has worked.

I also agree that it you have only recently started ovulating it can take two healthy people up to a year to get pregnant. If you have been ovulating regularly for all those years (even before you lost weight) then yes, something might be up with either one of you since you have not become pregnant.

Thanks ladies! I am not sure if I was ovulating when I was heavy. I was not diligent on temping at the time. I just wanted some fast fix (i.e. Clomid). I don't think I ever witnessed an ovulation on Clomid either. I am fairly certain that I am definately ovulating now...so fingers crossed!! I have another question...DH had a SA about five years ago, do you ladies think he needs to be re-tested. My Dr. thinks it may be a good idea as it is cheaper and less invasive...or do you think I would just be wasting the $160? He came back five years ago with stellar results. Oh and he has lost about 160lbs as well since then...so he is even healthier now. Just curious. Thanks!

When I got pregnant with my daughter, I had an extremely slow temp rise.
Here is my page. Go to the July 03, 2010 cycle and you can see what I mean.

Wow Sara...that is interesting and gives me hope! I don't feel any different! I am totally obsessing over it right now and would love to get my BFP, but I really don't have any symptoms of pregnancy. I did get super emotional the day before "O" and my face broke out the day of "O". I typically break out though the week before AF shows...perhaps a bit early this month but no real pregnancy symptoms.
I can't wait to see what my 7 DPO progesterone test comes in at....I get my blood drawn on Friday. I realized that last month, Dr. did a progesterone test but she did it on CD 21 (which was only 3 DPO)...it came back at 10.9...not bad I guess now!
Fingers crossed that the slow temp rise is a good sign!

I think it can't hurt to do another SA. Most likely nothing has changed, but five years was a while ago and you just never know. You might not need it, but I don't think it is throwing your money away at all.
-
Do you ladies think my temp spike this morning is any indication of a BFP? I know I am obsessed, but I have never had a morning temp that high. I am not feeling ill either. Just curious. Thanks ladies!
-
It is certainly good that your temperature increased like that in the 2ww. It's a good sign that your progesterone is still increasing which could mean that you have a BFP on the way. But then again, maybe not.

Stopping over from TTC. Just wanted to say your chart looks great and I'm wishing you the best of luck! Will stop by in a few days looking for good news :)
-
Thanks ladies!!! I am hoping for good news!!! I will keep you all posted! Thanks!
-
My temp stayed high again this morning...98.4! I am really hoping this is the month! Fingers crossed here! Thanks ladies! Also I had progesterone tested on Friday so hopefully will see those results soon.

Your chart is looking really good! I do hope that this is it for you!

Looks good to me too! Fingers crossed!

Man...so this morning I woke up at 3 am and took my temp thinking it was close to 4:30 (when I typically temp) and it was 98.2. Then when I used the restroom, I realized it was too early. So I hopped back into bed and took it again at 4:30 and it was only 98.0. Then just bc I was curious, I fed the dogs and took it again just to see how my temp was doing after I was up, it was at 97.7! My Dr. was surprised that my temps were so much lower than my waking temps. Am I doing something wrong? I really hope I am temping correctly! You wouldn't take the 3 am temp right? Do you think it screwed up my 4:30 am temp? Urrrggg!
Thanks!
-
Your basal body is what it would be after sleep. I would just adjust your temp accordingly I used This device and it adjusted it for me. If I did it my self then i would screw it up. My waking body temp is almost 1-2 full degrees different depending on the time of the month. If I took a my temp now I would show 98.9 which is my normal but my post O bbt is around 98 but my pre O temps can hit as low as 96 depending on the time of year.
-
So I used your adjustment tool but it put it at 98.4?? So are you saying that it would have been 98.4 if I had taken it at the right time? Just to be completely obsessed, I took it again right now (after getting ready for work and it was at 98.0..so at least I feel better that it was higher again. Perhaps the 98.4 is accurate! I hate it when I mess up on taking my BBT in the morning! Thanks for your help Sammi!
-
By the way Sammi, what is a DE doctor? I have seen a few ladies talk about utilizing a DE doctor...is this a fertility specialist? Thanks!
-
Never mind, I just found it (Donor Embryo). Sorry...good luck to you and I will keep track of you to find your BFP post soon! Thanks again for your feedback. I really hope this is our month. If my temp really should have been 98.4, then we may have a great looking chart this month. Triphasic could be positive!
-
I would just use your first temperature as it is and you'll have an open circle. It isn't really a big deal. You always want to take the temperature when you first get up. Once you wake up and move around it changes even if you go back to sleep for awhile.
-
Good point Jessica! I think the 98.2 is fairly accurate. I am just really hoping this is our month! Thanks ladies!
