Update

So here is the latest on our situation. Last week we were told that Connie (bmom) in prison was ok with us adopting her baby :). Now we are trying to figure out exactly how we do that. No one at the prison seems to know the protocol although one lady I talked to said they do this quite often...maybe they could write down the procedure this time so that there won't be so many questions next time. Anyway, we are working wifh our lawyer to make sure that Connie has a caseworker that she can call with questions she has and also who will be able to accept her relinquishment papers. So far all we know is that this caseworker needs to contact the wardens office at the prison and request access to her. Hopefully that is taken care of quickly because the end of the month (when she is due) is coming very fast. Keep us in your prayers :)

Sounds like things are on track. I would think that she needs a case worker or lawyer too depending on your states laws. Hopefully things get figured out quickly!

Another update: got a call from the prison and we had been told her wrong due date, she is actually due Oct 23rd. Whew that gives us a little more time :)

Still crossing everything for you! A little breathing room doesn't hurt things...but doesn't help anxiety! (when we were waiting for Josy they had given us the wrong due date too so I know how it can feel I'll keep praying! :)
