Yumenut where do you live? It sounds like outside the US, but your prenatal care is in Miami? I'm very curious about your story. Sounds exotic. :-) Good luck at your 12 week scan!!!
I live in Nicaragua now, was in Russia for two years before that. I work for the US government and move around every few years. I love seeing the world but I'll tell you what, I nearly died walking through the grocery store in Miami! I miss the food so much!! I had Chinese food for the first time in a year and thought I was going to cry it was so good.Quote:

Gotcha! Does your hubby work for government too, or how does he handle the moving every couple years?? And more importantly, how did the testing go today???!! Will you deliver in Nicaragua, or spend the last bit of your pregnancy in Miami and deliver here?
I never updated my appts. I actually see my ob today at 2 for 1st real prenatal visit. Then Sept 10th, I go to MFM for the NT scan. Can't wait to see this little one again.
My appointment did not go well. I had to have the CVS done. The area behind the babies neck measured 4.1 and it should be 2 or less (I think). I knew it was bad as soon as I saw it. Hubby and I are literally destroyed right now. If everything is okay, it will be at least 6 weeks before we know and even then, there is no guarantee. I'll get preliminary results of the "main" areas of concern in 2 days.
Hubby and I don't have a good feeling. We've been through so much, it's just our luck.
Nothing to do but wait and pray.

Thanks everyone!!! I got home about an hour ago and walked straight into my hubby's arms and sobbed. Unfortunately he couldn't get off work to go with me so it was just me and my DD in Miami. That poor girl had to shoulder the burden of this with me but she did a great job.
Enough about me, I need to focus on happy stuff so anyone else have appts coming up? Let's hear some good news! :silly:

No appointment here until September 19th!
I have two in September. NT on the 10th and regular checkup on the 17th
My next appointment is Tuesday morning (the 28th), which will be the first appointment with the regular OB (previous U/S was at the RE's office). I have to keep telling myself that the little bean's heart will still be beating strongly like it was two weeks ago. DH is trying to keep me thinking positive, but I'm still so worried that something's going to happen.
Gender ultrasound moved to the 18th of October, that's a week before I was supposed to find out! So excited!!
First appointment is Monday at 1:30. I want to see my baby.
2nd OB appt today :cabbage: Went and had Nuchal Translucency testing Friday and all looked good. Had no idea they were going to do such a detailed sonogram so DH wasn't there :ohno: Hoping they will let me do another soon so he can see how much the baby has grown in person (he saw the pics but it's not the same).
My NT scan is tomorrow. I'm nervous but excited. Please pray everything goes great! :)

Compared to everyone else, I feel very behind!! I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow. I am both excited and nervous to make sure both babies are still doing well...I made the mistake of googling vanishing twin.

My last OB appt is Tuesday. Then I go the the specialists from that point forward. I will have weekly appointments with weekly ultrasounds. I'm ready for Tuesday. I'm praying nothing else comes up at that appointment.

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Yumenut? I'm only on here occasionally and I know she wasn't going to know anything for sure for 6 weeks. I'm curious to know how she/they are doing.
