Hi!!
Yes, the joys of public school. Savana just recently had a classmate pass away and so I've been fending a lot of questions about God and Heaven and angels.
How does he respond?
I even had a daycare child once tell the class that if you are naughty you go to the devil. That was a fun conversation.
Yup lucea gets it alot in kindergarden as well..she is at the same spot cy was at that age UNSURE what the hell to think. She often asks if she can believe in god or tells me THERE IS A GOD I BELIEVE!! :) So shes right on track....
Cyrus takes everything in stride, hes very secure which is awesome. Even made it through a girl standing up in class pointing at him and hollering "YOU DONT BELIEVE IN GOD" at which point the teacher informed her that was ok...LORD LORD LORD *insert huge eye roll*
We had a close friend get killed in a motorcycle accident recently and man i tell ya what it must be nice to be able to tell your kids there is this great place called heaven where we get to see our loved ones someday...but i had to just face the facts and tell the kids our friend was gone and no we wouldnt ever be seeing him again BUT we will talk about him , remember him, laugh about him and always keep him in our hearts and minds..and ya know what they did great with that and were ok..
I'm glad he's got the right attitude and is confident enough to stand up for his beliefs. I'd probably be inclined to ask which kids are making the comments and have a conversation with their parents about how they need to teach them to respect other beliefs.
