Easter
:) Was wondering what some of my creative parents are doing at home this week to celebrate Easter?
I'm going to read from the bible each day and do some kind of hands on activity to help them remember and experience easter.
one day I'm doing a footprint donkey and handprint palm leave with the words Hosana
another day we are going to paint a cross
we are going to make a tomb garden. My girls are gonna LOVE this! http://happyhomefairy.com/2011/04/01...he-empty-tomb/
another thing I want to do is make those tomb rolls or whatever they are called.
and then we are going to dye easter eggs
We are working on letting the girls know that easter isn't about chickens, eggs, bunnies and baskets but we also like the tradition of some of those "fun" things, so we are doing one of those. But the girls do not believe in the easter bunny and their easter basket will be things about Christ. I love easter
We also are doing resurrection eggs. Girls LOVE these! I highly reccomend them.
And from the words of my sweet girl...
"the best thing about easter is that jesus didn't stay dead. he lives forever and ever"
so, what are y'all doing? :)

We love looking at our Resurrection eggs too! The tomb garden looks so neat. What a great idea, my girls would love it!

Sadly, not much this year. Last year we did Lenten candles and Bible readings. :) I think we're just going to do an egg hunt this year. And it'll be amazing if we even make it to church next Sunday.

I have been reading DD her children's Bible and I bought some "He Lives!" bookmarks to color with a depiction of Jesus on them. She'll color them and pass them out to family.
