Thanks for sharing. It's so easy to put DH last on the list when we are so busy caring for our young children all the time, and balancing work/ home life. DH is actually a little better at it than me, partly because I think he can detatch himself from the kids a little easier than I can when it comes to spending time together without the kids. But I definitely see the importance of showing the kids how strong our relationship is by being affectionate with and respectful of each other when they are around.
That was a great read and reminder. I need to put DH first. He so often comes in last.
Thank you for sharing this!
It makes me wish my own parents had gotten this advice. By the time my sis and I went to college, they realized they didn't know each other anymore because they hadn't prioritized their marriage. (At least, I see this as one reason for their divorce.)
wow. i needed to read that. I often put dh at the bottom of the list. ; (
I need to read this weekly. Thank you for sharing!!
thank you for sharing. This is my daily prayer that I remember the Godly order God, Hubby, kids. :-)
Boy is she spot on! I am so blessed my parents put each other first and showed affection in front of my brother and me. I think their strong marriage has definitely been a positive example for me and DH. With baby #1 coming in June, I keep telling DH that he needs to be my #1 always and if he ever feels like I'm neglecting him, he needs to tell me.
Just reading this. Thanks! I am going to start reading the blog. It was a great reminder!!
I know this was posted awhile ago....i am glad someone brought it back up into the forum. I LOVE this blog and need to really keep reading it. I would say I am a better mom than a wife....
